There's stretches of the river than can be pretty productive from shore, but you may run into access issues, as a lot of the shoreline is on private land. And if they're not home, you may be out of luck. We were fortunate to only need to hit 3 spots in 5 hours that day to make 2 segments.
you can definitley fish the river from the shore, you just have to know where to go. I go to a boat launch and fish right by a bridge, but be sure to bring muck boots since the shoreline is very muddy.
Why would you put split-grips on rods that will likely be used in rod holders? Looks like you have to have it almost to end on those driftmasters ...no room for error.
