It’s about love for other people and wanting them to come to accept Christ. • @actmrhata5079
      @actmrhata5079 2 роки тому +1

      I think that’s a really tough question to ask, because the Bible isn’t explicit on that topic. I don’t think it’s something anyone can answer definitively, and I think a pastor who says that you can go to Heaven after suicide is irresponsible, not because it may or may not be true, but because that may be the only thing holding someone back from committing suicide. And if they’re wrong, it’ll be too late. What’s important to remember is that God is just. And His judgements are true, and He deals with us each on an individual basis. But I think another way to look at it would be this. The message he just preached was about committing our souls to God and trusting Him with it. And when someone decides to commit suicide, they are taking their soul “out of the hands of God” if that is possible, and doing what THEY see fit with it as opposed to what GOD sees fit. Unfortunately there really isn’t a perfect answer, because we don’t know. And there are so many different circumstances including not being in your right mind that might bring this about. I think it’s safer just to say that if YOU are the one contemplating suicide, be on the safe side and don’t. And if someone you know committed suicide understand that God is righteous and just and will not condemn anyone unfairly.

      Have you a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance? If not, I recommend you get one and do a study on those words. Also the term "inner man."
      Something to know is that the Hebrew way of thinking and speaking used repetition to convey a truth more strongly. You will find this all through the book of Proverbs, where a comment is made in the first half of a verse, and its reverse is stated in the second half. (Wisdom and folly, for example, being a large part of Proverbs.)
      So, for the Jew, to use two different terms for the same thing is a way of emphasizing it.
      Such is Mary's "magnificat," where she says, "My soul magnifies the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Saviour..."
      She is not separating herself into two parts. She is making an emphasis by *reiterating* her first statement using slightly different words.
      I did a study years ago about this issue, and found that both the Hebrew words for spirit, and soul, *refer to each other* to explain themselves, and the two Greek words do the same.
      However, I encourage you to look into it for yourself 😁👍👍

      You should look up synonyms for "shall." You will/should/shall/may find it quite enlightening. 😂
      Mike does a fairly in-depth look at a few English translations of the Bible which you might/may/should find helpful! 😁😁👍👍
      None of the English translations I've read teach a works based salvation. The fact that many preachers use the Bible *wrongly* to teach a works based salvation merely shows that they *mishandle* and *misinterpret* the Word of God.

    • @judylloyd7901
      @judylloyd7901 2 роки тому

      Septuagint* 😊👍
      Why not go right back to the *original languages* of Hebrew and Greek?
      The *Septuagint* is a *TRANSLATION* of the Old Testament from the *original Hebrew* ... into GREEK.
      So, if *Christ* Himself, and New Testament writers can *quote* from it, and they do, God must be able to preserve the text when it's translated into other languages as well. 😁
      To say that *Satan* has translated the Word of God from the original languages into the *many languages* spoken by many different cultures so people can understand and know God, is a seriously *blasphemous* charge!!
      It's attributing the works of the Holy Spirit to the devil.
      See Matthew 12:24, & 31-32.
      There *are* a few translations which *deviate deliberately* from the original languages, so as to line up with the *erroneous doctrine* a sect or cult propagates. The Jehovah's Witnesses *own translation* of the Bible is one of these.
      It's *very clear in the English Bible* that salvation is by faith alone and is something *only God* can do, and it's also *very clear* in the English translations that Gnosticism is a *false teaching!* See Paul's letter to the Galatians.
      What is your *mother tongue?* Is it English? I suppose you read the *Greek* Septuagint? Congratulations, if you do. But very few people are able to do that, so they must rely on *other* translations.

    And you must examine the real meanings of greek words. Fornicition is not premarital sex. It is illicit sex. No where is premarital sex or consensual homosexuality condemned by the bible. But you must look up the original greek meanings

    • @judylloyd7901
      @judylloyd7901 2 роки тому +5

      You really need to read the scriptures more carefully! 😳
      Romans 1:20-32; 1 Corinthians 6:9.
      Now, we know that these scriptures are *holding accountable every* homosexual, even the *man submitting to a sodomite* (The catamite/effeminate).
      If they were not in *sin* by consensual homosexuality, the scriptures would classify them as either *victims of rape,* or *rapists!*
      But it *doesn't* do that in these two passages.
      Also, the God of the New Testament is the same God of the Old Testament, and the Old Testament makes it very clear the way God views homosexuality. Leviticus 18:22; 20:13. These scriptures are *not* addressing rape, which is addressed in other places.
      *Fornication is illicit sex,* which means *all sex outside* of *marriage* -- which God defines as one man and one woman.
      The word translated "fornication" in the New Testament comes from the Greek word "porneia" from which we get the English word "pornography."
      Acts 15:20; Romans 1:29;
      1 Corinthians 5:1, 6:13, 18; 10:8; Ephesians 5:3; 1 Thess 4:3 - to give a smattering of the scriptures that abound on the subject.
      Matthew 19:4-5 - Jesus addresses the question of divorce. He quotes Genesis 2:24, as *God's definition of marriage.* He is speaking to the Jews, who *knew* the Old Testament law, so He knew He didn't need to *spell out* all the sexual prohibitions, because they knew them already. Whereas the Apostle Paul *addresses those issues* because he is writing to Gentiles.
      Don't try to *eisegete* the scriptures with a preexisting agenda behind your reading.
      The Bible is *absolutely clear* about God's abhorrence of the *sin* of homosexuality in *any form,* as well as *all* sex *outside* of marriage, whether premarital or extramarital.
      *It's all illicit sex!*
