Ben just needs more fight experience and after that I know he is on track with the legends… his character and style is there, he just needs to sharpen the blade at this point. He takes the pressure off the most serious fights. I LOVE IT.

Considering he was supposed to be another knock over fighter he was making Whittaker look daft at times you can see he's got some real slick skills and can take a shot. Maybe his punch power is a little suspect but lot's of fighters make careers at British level without massive power.
Although it has to be classed as a knockdown it was more because Leon over committed with the slip and lost balance. Good level up for Ben here, very good defence from Leon who has shown that he's at British level at least. Ben has a lot to go back and look at to unpack and learn from but this was good to see that he's had to be more cautious and picky with his boxing rather than being handed guys no where near his level. I think we'll see big improvements from both men after this
Leon has shown a hell of a heart and some very clean, strong shots. Taking the fight with no time, no amateur record at the age of 23.. I'd really like to see this guy's career progressing.

Willings showed me 2 things today.. 1 you cannot fight in the Philly shell without movement... His block parry roll left him open to punches he couldn't see coming..2 the weakness of the Philly shell is against good striker puncher and counter punchers. Yea but other wise to the untrained eye willings did great...very sloppy fighter who has a bad habit of throwing wild uppercuts which will get him hurt real bad one day
Agree with many of the comments--he's very skilled with excellent fundamentals and patient. He's physic is impressive and extremely agile. I think under utilized the 5 and 6's to get through Willing's guard defense. He's my favorite dude to watch now.
Willings deserves all the props he had great head movement and when he relaxed and settled in was catching Whittaker well just struggled to match his bens work rate , made it a tougher night than I think Whittaker or anyone expected. Think willings is one to keep an eye on.

Yea but other wise to the untrained eye willings did great...very sloppy fighter who has a bad habit of throwing wild uppercuts which will get him hurt real bad one day
Muy bueno Wittaker, espero que siga subiendo de nivel
Sharp, fast and skilful, but maybe not the raw power needed when he starts really stepping up ? Similar to josh Kelly......
Do not skip levels. My moms told my administor. What she didn't know was I was already doing calculus in the 8th grade.
It was pretty comical listening to his YES man cornerman in the later rounds... This dude wont go much further with his attitude.
What a fight! Whittaker is always fun and that philly shell of Willings was tested and looked great. Honestly would love to see this run back with full camps on both sides.
People think he isn’t training but he missed his grandmas funeral to train for the Olympics. He puts in work to box like he does.
Chillout bro we all saw the clip 😂
@@Scouseantics yeah but ppl act like he doesn’t take the sport seriously mate.
@@longlostcoder6322 lol no but hes definitely a hype job. No where near as good as people make him out to ben😂
@@Scouseantics I agree, but he’s just starting. And it takes a lot of practice to fight like that. In general as someone who has boxed.. not even on this level. It’s hard.
@@longlostcoder6322 yes and there is admitting when someones a hype job, for an olympic fighter and the amount of respect people are putting on his name i dont think hes earned it in the pro ranks..

I enjoyed this video so much that I used it as a resource to create my own English learning video. I've also included the source link to your original video. Thank you.
Whittaker is only having fun while he can, when he starts to level up he won’t be trying to entertain and box he’ll just box.
That low punch walk away at the end of the first round was hilarious
So Dan Azeez won't ever be on commentary again. Ever 😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hopefully not.
Respect to Leon standing his ground. Whitaker is brilliant, great defensive movement, his endurance and stamina also very impressive.
Bro anime is life. The best fight ever
Уитаккер просто поражает мастерством, теперь буду болеть за него, воин☝️
Salute to Willings, he showed great heart even though he lost decisively
The instagram fame will come eventually “cocky fighter gets humbled” compilation!!
whittaker will get humbled once he meet a top tier boxer...
Yall act like he didn't just start his career...he doesn't have the experience to even be brought up in the same category...let him get experience...he only had like 8 fights under his belt
Silver medal in Olympia.... This guy is a monster
When he showboats its mockery and evil, when ali or naseem do it its funny,20 years from now if he becomes a champ or something, people will be looking up to him the same way they did with ali or naseem
20 years, silver medal in olympia and 8 victorys.
Whittaker is a great fighter , fast and furious. Willings put up a good fight , well done Champ 🏆
Ben will get exposed by bigger punchers, he is too open
Spot on . He ain’t no Nassem hammed and he doesn’t have reaction skills like him either so he should cut the act before he makes himself look stupid
o cara tem um reflexo incrivel, um dos melhores da atualidade, maximo respeito por wilings, otimo lutador
Oh damn an anime opening? Satoru Gojo's voice in the background and Naruto's and Konoha outfit, bro came through with the HOKAGE cloak and leaf village head band
Also the Tattoo on his back is from one piece

I remember everyone saying the same things about josh kelly look how that turned out
Yep. This is the comment…
Embpape’s English has gotten so much better. Didn’t know he did boxing 🥊 commentary 🤙🏼
He'll never be a world champion. Not in this era, he's all style no substance.
he could always fall back and become a UA-cam commenter like you
@@DeterminedFC XD
@DeterminedFC The truth hurts, don't hate a man for sharing his opinion. I hope I'm wrong, but when you cockily rub people up the wrong way and make a bit of a mockery of low level opponents you have to expect criticism.
@@DeterminedFC😂
@@DeterminedFC hey Farty Breath, Ben Whittaker is ingraining stupid mistakes by showboating time after time. If he doesn’t change his approach he’ll still have those mistakes and won’t be able to switch them off when he’s challenging the big boys.
He keep giving opponents "The Whitebeard Paw" and it has me dying everytime😂😂😂
i think its fair to say as a neutral that Ben showboating hides his mediocrity ...he is more of an entertainer,,, see how many times he got clocked today ,,,if it was a hard puncher ,,,it wld have been lights out
Calling an Olympic silver medalist mediocre from the comfort of your couch is CRAZY

I wish he wasn’t so disrespectful, I would like to like him but I find it difficult 😞
I guess you never seen prince nassem fight 💀💀 its nice to see different fighting styles. When someone like you sees the cocky guy get knocked out you can smile about it.
I hate disrespect. GGG and Pacman would never do that.
@@kimcousins1125 it’s show boating. It’s like drunken boxing. If you watch his interviews he trains hard for that.
both fighters are perfect in different ways
Don’t know how the judges gave Leon 2 rounds Ben won every Round easily
Felt like Dan just wanted to disagree with everything said 😂 enjoyed it!
If the showboating ended in a stylish knockout I would be impressed. But he ain’t got that in his arsenal yet. I think he showboats because he knows he’s lacking in ending fights.
I think in his mentality i dont think he cares about a knockout really
hes 8-0 with 6kos mate😂
He got 75% ko's W what are you talking about?
@@amadoumakhtarmbodj1633 yeah over a bunch of nobody’s. Needs to be in with some1 worthy. That’s how boxing works. They called gimmie fights.
Hell no 6 out of 8 of his wins were knockouts,he showboats to entertain and to tire his opponents out and beat them up in a stylish fashion
