I remember listening to them when I was in 7th grade, then I stopped after a while, then my boyfriend got me into the Punch Brothers and I realized Chris Thile was a part of both. Then when i learned that Chris Thile and Michael Daves got together, I thought my brain would explode. I saw Thile and Daves at the Ryman on June 28. BEST SHOW EVER

I love Nickel Creek & I am SO glad to hear that they continue to be so close & that we will likely hear more from them in the future, even as they all explore their talents and abilities in different musical directions.

For anybody who has come here and is reading the comments about Nickel Creek breaking up, they just took a long break. They have a new album out as of April 2014. Get it; it's fantastic.

I wasn't aware Nickel Creek disbanded in 2007; they renewed my listening of bluegrass; their youth and musicianship blew me away and frankly I miss their music.

This is the Nickel Creek I fell in love with...I miss this era. Sean was sooo handsome then--I was crazy about him! I miss the innocence of them--when their career began to blossom. I continue to listen to their old stuff, not really a fan now. But, I wish them the best of luck.

Nelson Robert Willis Not to get into detail...but I met Sara once, and, needless to say, it wasn't a pleasant encounter! So from that moment on I stopped listening to their music--I just listen to the old stuff.

This was the first band I ever got into. I was probably 7 or 8. Now the Punch Brothers are one of my favorite bands. Those two bands changed my life!

Sean's just doing some improv comping on some maj7 and 9 chords there...showing a little skill in walking a bass line at the same time...some jazz and swing style of rhythm playing....

Well, It is interesting to go back and see the side of these guys that was being marketed (intentionally or not) as a "Christian" group. As Derek Webb says, how can music be Christian? How can it have personal salvation? Anytime the term "Christian" is used for something other than a person, it is a marketing term.
