Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't ML say 6000 has the best coils for all gold ?? And it was ML who removed Coil choice for the 6000 also? With all the extra features and Price of the 6000, why shouldn't the QED also use all features at it's disposal?? Coil choice being one of them. It's a public pad, any 6000 can shoot another video if performance in this one is questioned.
I have owned both of these detectors and like them both…….however, not posting the settings for the GPX 6000 makes this “comparison” ridiculous as does using two different diameter coils. Please post the GPX 6000 settings and redo the test when you have a chance with the same size coil. Otherwise, why bother to make this video ????????
@@qedmetaldetectors4972 I could care less if the prospector is experienced or not. Experienced with both the GPX 6000 and the QED is what matters. Post the settings and let the viewers who know the GPX 6000 decide if they are reasonable settings. Also, practically everyone who owns a QED or GPX 4000 to 5000 owns an 11" Commander mono coil or something very similar. So making an excuse about the GPX 6000 coil connector is weird. I have always found the QED to be very manageable in EMI so no surprise there. The GPX 6000 in EMI is very hard to tame which again is why the settings used in this "comparison" should be revealed. What a waste of time, no settings were shown at all, the GPX could have been in manual 1 for anyone knows and comparing a 14" coil vs a 11" coil, why not put the 11" coil on the QED for a like for like comparison. Hopefully then the QED still wins, but at this point that video means nothing.
yeah both machines need to have same coil size, why not 12 nugget finder. I guess there's a reason the used 14" on QED. QED might be good a test patch but what about in nasty mineralised ground on mystery targets. not pre-buried lead.
@@qedmetaldetectors4972 i ment the qed could have the 12 nugget finder. Yes i know gpx6000 has different plug as i own one and paid for it now in gold. Very good on reef gold.
The ML dealer in Maryborough who created the test patch could make videos there to prove the performance improvement claims but a search on "UA-cam" proved fruitless.
@@cheryl1763 The coil plug change is a move forward as the plugs and sockets used on most previous detectors are really not ideal. The prospector using the 6000 is highly experienced and went through a variety of settings to find the best.
I was hoping that someone would comment on how quiet the EMI was with the QED despite the slightly larger coil.

The 6000 has a very different coil plug/socket so using the same coil is impossible.
