@toddarmstrong.trackside.action Hi Todd 👋 Thanks again for the wonderful comment !! layouts, I wanted certain scenes and switching opportunities, and of course, lots of running room to railfan from...😎 DD
Lol... Yes, it's amazing all that wood engineering . As as Streaming in a small, i believe you are the only one that has noticed . Thank you fir for your nice comment 👍 😎 Darrell
Wow. You have been incredibly efficient with the space you have. We need to get you some lottery tickets. I can imagine what you could do if you have some more space to work with. Really nice work!
wow wow wow this is just amazing you can't tell when you do a live stream you have little room and your layout is sat up like this this is just amazing
That looks great!! That is one heck of a draw bridge and like you said alot of wood work into your layout. Thanks for sharing and stay safe. Happy modeling!! -Jason
Hi Bob... Lol...!! and Thank you very much for your vote of confidence... I'm very new to UA-cam but not to model railroading... Thanks again...Darrell
Alright Darrell, I’m caught up and subscribed and waiting for the next video. I’m kinda spoiled from catching up and could watch as many videos as I wanted so you’re gonna have to put out a video every day for me so I can keep watching at this pace. Lol. Great garage tour. You did a really good job getting everything in the layout that you like within the space available. For video purposes, you could use a 1 inch thick piece of foam on the end of the layout, painted blue to cover the garage door if you’re not switching.
Hi Derek... Lol... very humbled by your comments!! Glad you are all caught up... I'm gonna try to upload a vid this weekend of what I've been working on....Darrell
@robinthurston3382 Hi @robinthurston Yes...agreed on insulated garage door !! During the summer months in SoCal, the garage , gets pretty ...HOT . Thanks for the nice comment on space...appreciated 👍 DD
Wow you really have maximized the space you have. How do you get to the staging underneath? Also could you attach some 1/8 inch hardboard to the garage door and paint a backdrop on it. From a straight on view you wouldn’t be able to tell it’s pushed back
Hi Dave, yeah kinda cozy as far as under staging goes part 3 shows but I thinking an update on that.. What would you like to see in that update and you'd be 100 % on backdrop already been told...Darrell
@@deraildarrell hey Darrell. Yeh but if it’s strictly staging it’s ok to be a bit tight. I was just curious if you use a ramp to climb up and a down to staging or if you have a hidden helix somewhere? I. Need to get better with my updates. I just hate editing. Lol.
Hi Amilcar and Thank yoh for stopping by . My layout is in a garage as well , and i get dust as well. I do put a clear plastic cover over and it helps , so try that, plastic cover. Hope that helps👍😎 Darrell
Hello and YES I do...I have all of the UP Heritage locomotives..I'm actually installing leds on some the units and when finished I will post a vid of them...Darrell
wow Darrell, that's amazing how you squeezed all that benchwork and layout into your garage. Well done. Thanks for sharing

Love the cliff section! Stellar!
Thank you John and yeah and that scene took some considerable time to shape and mold 😎 Darrell
really nice rock faces!! I am building a Rio Grande based layout with some staging underneath too (not as much as yours)
Hi Wolfe 👋 Thanks for your nice comment 👍 Awesome...on your build , how exciting 😀 Darrell

A big , Yes to shadow boxing ! I believe it draws your attention and the viewer... Thank you for commenting and watching 👍😎
I'm not sure what the weather is like but the garage door needs some foam. Nice space management.

@@Crookedriverandeasternrr No helix... jus a ramp to staging...Darrell
@@deraildarrell ok that is. How I’m climbing to my second level. It’s going to be a challenge to hide it tho
@@Crookedriverandeasternrr hear that !! been done w/helix and my staging well quit an accomplishment... considering it was not even planned...Darrell
Very nice, like
Big thanks 👍
Looking good!
That's a lot off layout crammed in there!! but it looks like it works.....nice job!
And you would be correct !! What really makes it all work is the under layot staging area....Darrell
Do you start from the yard by the workbench? Is this basically point to point? Or how does it operate?
Hi Dan , great ? It's jus me for ops , so I pick either or for local traffic... layout is still evolving...Darrell
Alguien me puede ayudar. Mi lay out esta en el garage. Que puedo hacer para evitar el polvo
