The iron that’s found in vegetables etc is in a form that the body can’t naturally use, my blood science lecturer said vegans should drink a glass of fresh orange juice before or after eating vegetables to convert it to the correct form! I can’t remember which was round but it’s ferric vs ferrous and vitamin C is responsible for the conversion!
@RESonatION NATION hi! Don’t worry about diluting stomach acids, your body will be able to readjust! Your stomach is acidic as well as the orange juice, so there won’t be a problem in that respect! Sometimes it can actually help to have a drink to prevent discomfort when digestion occurs! :D
you can get lndoor cats at shelters, they're usually FIV positive so they can't go outside anyway. its quite common and they usually struggle to be rehomed so maybe look into that?

I am vegan and have an iron deficiency, my nutritionist told me with plant based foods our body can't absorb them unless they are eaten with vitamin c! I don't eat spinach so not sure if that has vitamin c, I would have to check. Anyways for everyone else if you squeeze a bit of lemon juice on your food, add some capsicum or maybe some strawberries it really helps your body to absorb any iron in the food. Also coffee stops you from absorbing as much depending on when you drink it! Hope everyone is going well and finds that useful❤❤
Spinach has loads of iron, there are lots of vegan food with iron - the only vitamin that is a struggle (and that’s for everyone) is Vitamin B as it’s mainly found in meat products - so I really don’t know why a nutritionist has said that since it isn’t true 😂😂😂 x

hey babe gonna diagnose you, not for the lip thing but for the rashes you sometimes get - it could be idiopathic angioedema and it basically means you get random and unknown (idiopathic) swelling of the skin (angioedema) which is effectively what a rash is anyways its really easy to treat just ask your doctor to prescribe you a strong antihistamine xxx
I have this!!! I get swelling of the cheeks and lips and it gives me the little lip cuts due to it! :( I’m on an antihistamine called chlorphenamine it does help loads xxxx
Quick tip Olivia x - Have a lot of lentils (packeddd with iron) butt make sure you are having vitamin C - otherwise your body doesn’t really absorb the iron as muchx✨

I get the split lip thing!!! Use sudocrem and try not to smile too much for a day or two, and then it should heal! I then use vaseline to keep the moisture in for a few day after x x x
I had a similar “cut” on the side of my lip, my dentist said it was fungal and to put anti fungal cream on it until it goes away. Sounds weird but I put athletes foot cream on it for a few days and it was gone. Hope this helps! Love your videos!
I didn’t know boy cats were more affectionate until hearing this but now it makes so much sense! My cat Milo is such an Angel and so cuddly but my other cat rosie isnt affectionate
For my family it is the other way around. Ed is our boy cat at the moment and he is not affectionate at all, he is not aggressive or anything and does like being in the same room as people but hates being cuddled. He’s very playful though and loves playing fetch with his (my) hairband and running around. All of our family members who have/had girl cats have said that they are super affectionate compared to Ed. To be fair I think a lot of it also comes from what breed they are and their individual personalities as well. Ed is a tabby.
It’s angular chelititis (that’s roughly how you spell it… I think) I get it loads it can be from a deficiency but I treat mine with thrush cream. Bit awkward to have a tube of canesten out on your desk but I’m telling you it works! I feel for you cause it’s so painful!! 😩
I recommend you start taking an iron supplement. Iron from veggies doesn’t get absorbed and used by the body as well as animal based iron. Also supplement iron usually has vitamin c which helps the iron get absorbed.💖
Im from the states but live in the UK for uni and I wanted to adopt a cat soooo bad but genuinely 99% of the cats list a garden as a requirement!!! Its crazy. In Chicago you can get a cat without a garden and you are actually encouraged to not let your cats out?? My cats growing up lived for 20 years and they were very much indoor cats for 90% of their life. Cats do not necessarily need to be outdoor animals but some cats want to be outside ig?

I got a male ragdoll in my flat in London and where they’re the nicest cats ever they’re literally the most doglike so they’ll get really upset when your not home for any length of time and they can get really bored and meow allllllllll night I was feeling really bad so gave it to my mum who lives in a big house and it’s much happier there

The tears in the corner of your mouth could be a mild case of Angular cheilitis - it’s a super common skin condition that is more annoying and sore than anything else. It can be caused by a bacteria or viral infection and is easily treated. Buy some Daktarin online or over the counter from a pharmaceutical company and apply as it instructs.
