All clear! I would also add the info about the postion of the arms. It is also very important. Ony up and down, small controlled swing to the level of the eyes, no "windmills".
At my amateur level, what helped me, is making sure I don't land toes first, land hill first and let toes hit a moment after. I paused Danny jumping and saw how he lands heel wheel touching the ground first as well. Small jumps I do, I only jump vertical, instead of leaping forward, then it is much easier to land for me. This guy is obviously a pro, so take these comments from not a pro. with a grain of salt, but they might be helpful to some. Any inputs?
A year late but I have the same 'problem' - I mean, as long as you land it it shouldn't be a problem right? I'm not able to squat, my tendons aren't used to it and I always land my jumps like you do. With regularly stretches, also in the normal life, this problem quickly disappears.
I've Noticed rollerblading have been a fad. My skate shops are all fully stocked again and twister XT are just sitting on the shelf 30% off with no bites. Sucks
