    Another great video! Would love to see a behind-the-scene episode on how you guys actually capture/edit all of this so beautifully, but I guess that requires bringing an additional camera. Magical shots and fantastic editing!

      Haha, that would be a lot of extra work on top of what it already is! Thanks, Oscar.

    So glad I found you two on UA-cam! Fell in love with you guys listening to a podcast (Warmshowers?). Beautiful videos. Thank you so much!

    Beautiful picture / video quality. Looks a bit more easier with those pinion gears. Also it's funny to see how the tent is being shaken to clean it up, I wonder if everyone has found that out by them selves. Thanks.

      I’m happy you noticed! Tried to naturally show the pedal strokes and different climbing gears to the best of my ability. Couldn’t ever go back to cassettes and derailleurs.
      Shaking the tent is a great way to keep it clean!

    I have watched a lot of your videos and I am truly amazed by your clips. I am a casual rider and I have some experience in taking photos/short clips for my usage, so I have a base image of the effort you put to make a good video shot. It requires a lot of willpower and a positive attitude (especially when you are tired) to set up the camera, ride "on video" and go back to dismantle everything and repeat the sequence many times a day. Chapeau bas, you are doing a great job. Keep pedalling.

    Hi, I’m very impressed and thrilled by your video, I have been planning a cycling trip around Mallorca for about 2 years but so far it’s still in planning stage. I was thinking of hotel hopping as I had read wild camping was illegal and there are only 2 “scout” camps on the island. Did you experience any issues camping? However the hostel options is mind blowing and will revolutionise the trip. Thank you for sharing

      You’re welcome! Generally, I can say that while bikepacking privately, wild camping has always been ok for us. Of course, every situation is difficult and since it’s illegal in so many places there could be consequences. But if you pitch just a night, I reckon you’ll be fine.

    Thank you for sharing! This video is really wonderful. It comes at a time when I'm planning my first ever backpacking trip around Mallorca. I'm curious to find out how did the both of you find the ascents with your bikes and bags?

    • @tristanbogaard
      @tristanbogaard  2 роки тому

      You’re welcome! The ascends were great, seeing they’re all asphalt. I’d say, don’t bring really wide tires if you just cycle Mallorca so you spare some weight.

    Nice film!! Hey, when would you say is the best time to ride these islands?? Is November / December still OK to bike tour in this part of the world?? Obviously low tourist season, but is the weather usually OK?? Keep up the great work :)

    • @tristanbogaard
      @tristanbogaard  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks, Stephen! The best time is no doubt the low season - October to March. You’ll have to get lucky with the weather but fortunately the Mediterranean climate is pretty stable. I advice you to check topics like ‘Mallorca weather November’, average rainfall info and while you’re there, the forecast of yr.no - a Norwegian weather website that’s often very accurate.

    I really love your videos, but can we talk about lighting fire and wild camping in areas where both things are strictly forbidden? This is very problematic...

    • @tristanbogaard
      @tristanbogaard  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for bringing this up! Wild camping is widely practiced in the bicycle travel community to a level where it’s generally accepted as a one-time one-night thing per person. Bicycle travelers don’t litter nearly as much as someone taking their car, van or camper somewhere. And I get your concerns for open fire, but in 5 years of cooking outside it’s not gone wrong a single time - plus, I think any viewer of my videos would have the common sense to know where to light a fire and where not to. Maybe a nice idea for a future video!
