    In this episode of 'No Bleeps' we are going to break down everything that has come out this week about David Dobrik, as well as the 'Bachelor'. Former vlog squad members joined H3 Podcasts last week to talk about their experience working with David, and some of the jokes made in the vlogs that ended up affecting them deeply. Since the interviews David has been receiving a lot of hate, and people have been asking him to speak out, despite the fact that he addressed this situation last June. As for the "Bachelor" host Chris Harrison is under fire after an interview with former 'Bachelorette' lead Rachel Lindsay, where Chris defended current contestant Rachael Kirkconnell following backlash towards photos of her at an "Old South" themed party.

    If David's "apology" came from ANY other UA-camr, people would be mad. No, your broad apology that 2% of your viewers heard is unacceptable. "He addressed it" but never said what the 'it' was he was sorry for or expanded on why he knows it's wrong.
    He has done and continues to do nothing and still gets away with it.

      So he didn't take accountability, which by default is silence on the situation, I don't consider what he said an acknowledgement and apology.

      Exactly 👏👏 this situation happened with Tony Lopez last year when the grooming allegations came out. He ‘addressed’ it without directly addressing it, so that people who had no idea what was going on wouldn’t look into it. Everyone knows it was in reference to the grooming allegations, because he said he wasn’t prepared for the ‘Hollywood lifestyle’ or something along those lines (as if a 21 year old adult shouldn’t already know not to groom or r**e minors, but I digress). Now, he’s saying he never admitted to it, which is technically true because it was vague he didn’t incriminate himself. David’s doing the same thing. He’s ‘addressed’ it to shut the people up who wants the apology, but not enough to garner attention from the fans who do not know what’s going on, if that makes any sense.

    I watched Access Hollywood’s video on the Chris situation and they left out a lot of things he said and I didn’t know it was that bad. I always count on Spilly to give the full story!

    This situation with David is why you shouldn't bully people. It took people this long. People can end up with Trisha exprience life long in therapy because of people like David.

    David hasn't made any offensive jokes since...? We're just being blind to the way he makes fun of the Antonyan family?? He literally called Nick a "fat fuck" at 1:54 in the house tour video

    i think the old south parties are okay as long as it’s more of a rich southern beau theme, ykno? like a Bridgerton type beat party where everyone’s just focused on big dresses & stuff. but if it has anything to do with praising the confederacy/racism then that’s not cool

    • @lissaw4
      @lissaw4 3 роки тому +9

      But "old south" is literally fundamentally steeped in racism and confederacy. Old south literally is referring to the slavery reliant Antebellum society, economy, agriculture before the civil war. Which is why these people do plantation parties.
      I'm not sure if you mean dressed up like bridgerton style dresses as in Antebellum dresses known for old south, but that is all deeply based in racism, slavery, cotton/sugar plantations and the confederacy. Southern Belle's and Beau's can not be separated from slavery, as that was the fundamental societal ideal of them. Ownership of slaves by these "Belle's and Beau's" was greatly celebrated and considered a moral high ground; as it was used to show their societal status, femininity, and essentially used to make them look like the best of the best because they had slaves to "help" with domestic duties. The Antebellum steam boats that transported slaves, were also use for fine dining, parties and social elite events that you think of during this time in which those very slaves served them. Even slaves who were technically free, still only had the option for traditional slave labor with next to no pay and horrifically cruel treatment. This was even the time where southern states put laws in effect that made it nearly impossible for slaves to be freed, even if a slave owner put it in their will.
      There is no way to separate the racism from this. It's entirely reliant on slavery, racism and the Confederacy being formed.

      the point of the old south party is to celebrate the racist and confederate period. your comment is NOT it.

      @@lissaw4 i understand where you’re coming from. you’re super well spoken 👍🏽 i’ve been in love with Gone With The Wind since i was 8 & that’s where my opinion comes from. i love it for the love story & the grandness of it all. I still think it’s okay to separate things for a party. People of all races can dress up and attend a southern like ball for a few hours. I’m mexican & i’m aware that i wouldn’t be able to attend a party like that before but now we can. I want to create an inclusive antebellum-themed ball. Anyone can come and dance and we’ll nap and everything. The people working will be all different races & they’ll be getting paid.

    • @april7296
      @april7296 3 роки тому

      @@maryserge8516 if that was their intent than their wrong, but if you’re throwing a fun party with good, wholesome intentions then i think it’s okay. if we stopped doing everything that was created by taking advantage of people then we’d have nothing left. it’s unjustifiable but if you want to look at the good, happy parts for just one night i think it’s okay. You could also do something to honor the people who suffered like idk u could throw the party and be taking donations for an organization that educates people on slavery or something of the sort.
      (i’m not saying any of this with rude intentions. you can respond with a more in-depth opinion, maybe more information will change my mind idk)

    Speaking of dressing like the Old South...Culture Club’s video of “Karma Chameleon” came on TV the other day. I hadn’t seen it in over 20 years. Even though the lyrics/video is ultimately about anti-slavery and how karma gets the slave owner in the end, it was so shocking to see people dressed like that. It was so infuriating and sad to watch...I can’t even imagine going to a PARTY and seeing current day humans dressing like that!

    The thing is with david dobrik’s jokes isn’t that he was hurting one person but a whole group of people (like black people or people with dwarfism) so the “they gave hime permission” excuse doesn’t work it’s like I have a black friend I can say the n word, so even then he still should’ve known better.
    Alternatively, making fun of each other should only involve characteristics they can control or don’t apply to a group of people who didn’t agree those jokes be made about their life!!

    There is NO way David is acc gong to get cancelled. Imagine you made self deprecating jokes w all your friends and then YEARS later they come out of nowhere and say “OH ACTUALLY I AM OFFENDED NOW” ??? If they told him the jokes weren’t acceptable at time TIME, he wouldn’t have continued I mean come on. I’m glad he’s not addressing it and giving into futile cancel culture - everything is an echo chamber now people are bored

    Remember, when spilly says "back in the day" she doesn't mean the 1940's. She means the 2000s. The fact that a discussion is happening now regarding all of these things in this episode, shows to me that the world is a better place today compared to what it was just a couple of years ago!!
    At the same time it's so sad to me that people clearly just did not know how to behave like decent human beings towards others.

    All of the people in his videos make fun of themselves and each other. They are known for pranking people. Now those two who want to be relevant say David made me do it. BS. If you are so offended by a prank, then why do it again, yes, twice or more, so dumb. Besides, David owes None of YOU an apology; if he wants to talk to them about it, fine, but it's NONE of anyone else's business. Stop trying to manipulate people into doing what YOU want. He owes you NOTHING.
