I've tinkered with the idea of a broodlord leading a genestealer 10 man brick with instinctive defense for fights first so that people can't hit them until I hit them, interesting thought
Possibly! Thanks for pitching that to me! P.S. Sorry I'm just now replying to this. The app is finally showing me a bunch of replies that the website didn't.
There it is! I m so excited to try this out. I m getting myself a Box of Genestealer for Christmas, and i´ll throw whem right into this detachement. Starting with getting 2 Stealers back every command phase, and then the plus 1 Strength plus 1 Attack for 50 attacks, boy this is going to be fun! I will be having a fieldday with my beloved Pyrovores, for that overwatch goodness and bringing back a full model everytime. And Old One Eye is probably going to be really good in this detachement too yes. Being able to heal 4 times per turn, that boy ain´t going nowhere. I will also make sure to bring a Parasite of Mortrex, every time i play this detachement, because being able to spwn in healer units sounds very potent, and this is the detachement for him. I already have like 4 lose ideas on what to do with this detachement, and i hope i´ll have as much fun and succsess as i had with Crusher Stampede.
@@miztahmonstur Since you mention pretty much everything that i had in my list already, with the Exception of Gargoyls, Toxicrine and the Swarm Lord, i think i m on the right track. I´d like to run Swarmy, but the Tyrant is just way better in my opintion, especially in this detachement. The Stratagems and Enhancements are really good and i can tell, i will find myself starved of CP very quickly. So since the Hive Tyrant gives you 10 CP+ during a game, while Swarmy capps out on 5, the Tyrant is a must have in my opinion.
I still think the Reinforcements change for Unending Swarm was absolutely overcorrecting. The two easy changes could have been: - You may only choose a target without the Battleline keyword once per battle (to curb IG scion spam) - You can't deploy that new unit in the enemy deployment zone unless you control the objective marker in that zone (toning back positioning shenanigans) It's not like the strat was broken for anyone other than Scion spam.
@@DoctorBoson Agreed it was an overcorrection but I'm not sure I follow all the way. Unending Swarm only targeted primarily battleline with Neurogaunts as the only exception to that.
“A unit can only be regenerated once per phase” so 3 different rippers couldn’t regenerate the same brick of gargoyles, no??? Most they’ll be able to bring back per phase is 3 gargoyles
@@zacharylopez8362 The enhancement Regenerating Monstrosities let's you regen a unit twice per phase. So with it on a Winged Prime, that's 6 a turn on one unit. 👀
Do you think a hive tyrant with parasitic biomorphology leading 6 guard is still a viable play for assimilation swarm? Just thinking about point cost really, str 10 crushing claws is scary, especially when they guarantee regenerating 4 wounds and that they can get +1 to attacks each
I would stick with three for the hive tyrant and stick the other 3 on a neurotyrant. They are really high toughness and if somebody wants to spend their heavy hitters on your guards then that's a win win either way if they do or don't because it's pulling aggro, but the way I see it you can position a neurotyrant well on the board for a well placed overwatch with protection.
@@JJCarper Thank you!! I'm a fan of the list! I like the screening options for hammers to push up. Notice you have a few points leftover so you might want to split that Ripper unit so that each can do the regen. Cheers!

@@SquidSquisher Yup, it has its moments.
Something else just came to me, spore mines, and reclaim biomass…
Here is a video ideal!
Tyranid units with the most overlap between different detachments. Most bang for your buck when starting an army.

@@Deathgaming112 👀 Hive Guard shenanigans I see.
Yup! I love bringing them back for 4 wounds. And with exocrene they re roll 1s
Pyros remove cover and hive tyrant give them assult

Toxicrene should be a harvester it really has never been a playable model, needs some love and harvester would make it more playable
