- Hey everyone! Today we are putting together a super easy DIY Centerpiece that is perfect for spring and Easter. We are taking an $11 planter from Walmart, giving it a little upgrade with paint so that it looks high-end for a living plant centerpiece. Now, I’ve told y’all that I don’t have much of a green thumb, but this beautiful centerpiece is so easy to create and maintain that anyone can do it! Yes, anyone because I did! So, sit back, relax and get ready to be inspired to make this gorgeous statement piece for your home this Easter. And don’t forget to make one for the hostess! This makes a wonderful gift.

I did the same thing to these Walmart planters. I added some moss green drips and smudges for patina too. I love how they turned out. I planted philodendron and other indoor plants in them. Nice job!

Hi Lesa. What a lovely idea for a video. You have inspired me to do the same. Hyacinths are so pretty and I have never replanted them so I appreciate your idea. Do you know approximately how long they will bloom and can you keep them from year to year?

Hi there! Yes, do give this a try. You won't be disappointed. Sadly hyacinths don't bloom for long. A couple of weeks usually. They are perennials so they come back every spring. For these that are initially grown inside, I will cut back the dead foliage, remove the bulbs from the pot and any soil, then store them in a cool dry place until the fall when I can plant them outside. They will pop up in my garden next spring to enjoy again. You can google exact directions but that's the basic gist for saving the bulbs for later. Best of luck and thanks so much for watching. XO
