Hey!! Moo-Moo has some lovely plants & decor. Very vibrant & eclectic. I totally agree w/what u were saying about the Vegan doc Vaughn. "something has to die" that statement said it all! It is fine for them to show us the harm & better ways but no one needs to be "scared straight" when it comes to what they eat (unless they are super unhealthy).

I love the statement, there’s no room for morality in nutrition, a word. I, too was plant based for a couple of years-and while I initially felt great-a couple years into my journey I started having terrible gut and hormonal issues, which caused the worst cystic acne I’ve ever experienced. I sought out both traditional and holistic practitioners and found out that my body doesn’t tolerate cruciferous vegetables, chickpeas or soy, which was a fair amount of my diet. I was also deficient in some majors nutrients despite supplementing. My doctor suggested adding in eggs and fish like salmon and removing the foods the irritated my gut, and I haven’t looked back. After about a month my gut issues started to resolve and the acne cleared up. The crazy part is that it took so much reprogramming to even eat an egg again. I felt immense guilt in eating animals and animal byproducts even though my plant based diet was literally wreaking havoc on my body.

I agree with your perspective about meat consumption and nutrition. I fluctuate between mostly plant-based meals and eating meat and fish. I always find it interesting the staunch positions people take on one side or the other. I think you're on to something that morality and nutrition don't really mix without environmental accountability.

My husband and I have decided to take a longer break from meat this year. We usually do 40 days but its been over 120-days since we've had meat/seafood. We HATE when people try and label us, because we dont like the judgment of Vegans/Vegetarians. The same reason we don't have a religious affiliation. This fear mongering works my nerves!!!
