The Poison Garden in Alnwick Castle is well worth a visit if you’re in that neck of the woods. I’m pleased to report I neither vomited or fainted during my visit. I’m sure your boys would love it !
Hi Steve, thanks, yes I think I looked at that one and another LPG brand, but it was about £300? And that's fitting it myself and then I think I read that LPG in French stations is only for vehicles that run on LPG and that you could be refused it for a motorhome? Enough to put me off given the time we had to prep. CampingGaz was our safety net, but wasn't the cheapest option. Thanks 😊
Yes that was true of 80+% of stores. One gave me a ticket in exchange for the old bottle at customer services to take to the till with the new bottle. In another store the staff member took the bottle off me while I was weighing up the new bottles saying it was the stores because it still had the red plastic tamper proof cap on it, although it was broken from being used, plus it was empty and lightweight. I had to argue it was mine and I came in with it! 🙄🤪 they conceded shortly afterwards! 😁 Daz
Loved that area in Dordogne and i know what you mean about the road. We did wonder if the motorhome would go through the rocks at times. Glad you got the gas eventually. There is shade in Sarratt so you should go.
the gas bottles often have two price tickets on them, the higher is for non empty exchange and lower with empty exchanged. have a look see if yours has.
Yes that's right. Although one store tried to charge me the new bottle price of €60+ and for once I was actually paying attention at the till and pointed out the error and they agreed the lower €30+ euro price! 🙄😄 Daz
Thanks for another brilliant Vlog guys, loved it as always, we look forward to your next episode,
Take care..

Oh wow now we have to go! Can't wait 😍 thanks for the recommendation 😆
How entrepreneurial of Mr Farmer! I bet he makes more in wine sales than he would in camping charges.
You're probably right!
You folks need to buy a Gaslow LPG bottle. Refill it any where in France. Also your Butane bottle can freeze up to the point you think it’s empty.

those gas bottles you can find on the shelves in most french supermarkets. just go pick one up go to till with both your empty and the full.

Hi just saw your Gas problem we have used Intermarche Propane gas for 15 yrs 10 kg bottle 22€ + 7€ deposit pick up at most of their fuel stations
That's a good price!
Probaly connect using your campigaz hose it not no problem getting a pigtail hose for propane in one of their larger stores
