  • We are back in action here at Dressage Hub after a short intermission to welcome a new puppy into the family! As we try to recover from the chaos that has been created we took a few minutes to get back to the editing and bring you the type of video that you love the most! A dressage disaster!
Last weekend in the Grand Prix Morgan BARBANÇON MESTRE had a dressage disaster with Deodoro when he decided that he just wasn't into dressage today. He goes on to completely destroy the dressage ring before getting Morgan BARBANÇON MESTRE eliminated from the grand prix.

Whenever my horse doesn't cooperate I don't say they're having a bad day or an off day, I think the culprit is far more likely to be me. I'm pretty sure there's a lot more going on in the human brain than the equine one. I have a think, do some homework and take a different approach. I can pretty much guarantee that my next training session will be better. If the horse isn't cooperating it's because it doesn't understand what's being asked of it. Unless, of course, it's experiencing some sort of physical discomfort.

Looks like he could be in pain or stressed, lots of tail swishing, anyway he didn't look calm.

Nudging a board out of the way isn't exactly "destroyed."

Hardly destroying it lol! Kicked a board away 🙄

Horse looked uncomfortable from the start. Tail swishing a signal.

I'd rather see a hundred dressage "disasters" than one eventing disaster 😀

I prefer never see disasters in horse shows.

Except it’s coming to light the abuse Horses suffer in and out of the Arena. Possibly always has been but to some the end justifies the means. I’ve always thought of Dressage as Poetry in Motion but now it pains me to watch. Especially as Judges are ignoring the issues and in my mind that’s encouraging the abuse. We can identify Blue Tongue and that’s ignored so what goes on behind the scenes out of the public eye?

That looked like a muscle cramp or a sudden pain

I don't know this horse but taking it at face value he seems to have been not given enough time at home to gradually work up to GP and it is all a bit much for him as yet to get his head round.

There is tension and to much pressure.

I think the horse just wasn’t feeling like doing changes that day. He looked relaxed enough, maybe just bored or tired that day. We all have off days.

The only destruction I see is of the horse's mouth. That tail swishing isn't for flies. It's due to the amount of pain he's being put through and it's also why he lashes out. He was trying to escape the pain. How anyone can look at this and think it's pretty needs to get their brain and eyes checked. I see nothing but abuse, which horse related competitions have become. Once money gets involved......

Love the ride perfect response a pad on the neck. Looks like the horses needs to have a little time out on pasture, mental holiday.

Good decision! Your horse is not feeling well, let's exit from the competiton. I don't know if the horse was nervous, bored or even in pain - or even the rider fault, in the end, it was not their day.

Painful to watch the discomfort of the horse and the arrogance of rider

If I was a horse I'd rather pull a plow then do dressage.
Isn't it clear by now that horses DO NOT enjoy doing this

That you have the money to buy expensive horses ( she bought Painted Black years ago) does not mean that you have the talent and sensibility to be a good dressage rider.

I feel for any rider whose bad days are put on a global platform for all to scrutinize and comment on. The GP is an Olympic test for a reason. Why not highlight the great days instead of trolling people with words like disaster? I have unsubscribed from this channel so as to not support this. You should do the same unless you would want this to be you and your horse.

@@serenityfieldsdressage You don’t get a prize just cuz you’re an adult attending a competition. If I was that sensitive of a snowflake over losing I wouldn’t ever ride a horse. I’m sure most Grand Prix riders understand and chuckle over the insider joke here. Anybody who’s ever tried has had a dressage disaster. Get a sense of humour and you’ll feel better. Either that or show us your perfect riding on a perfect horse every day. (Imagine how the Olympics would be televised if nobody could be shown losing lol.) Cheers.
