Imo this is one of the most underrated scenes in Penacony. Other scenes were great as well, but the emotion in this scene was goated

Tiernan's VA at 17:10 did an impeccable job, his lines felt so emotional
These sequence of backstory cutscene bw Acheron and Tiernan was my fav part of 2.2 story it was so deep and the way both VAs delivered the dialogues is amazing

I need someone to analyze this entire sequence because I feel im missing so many comparison and metaphores, some sentences i dont fully grasp the meaning off.
Absolutely beautiful scene. The quiet melancholy and the thinly veiled despair at being faced with futility are enough to move me to tears.
After finishing the 2.2 mission I found myself wanting to re-examine the events from before. Since the game doesn’t have a replay function this is the next best thing. thank you.
They both did such an amazing job. You can perfectly visualize their expressions all throughout the flashbacks.
Like at 18:42 for example, you can *see* Acheron's heartbroken smile just from hearing her voice.
"I've come this far, haven't I?" _'Perhaps I must simply go a little further.'_
Thank you so much for uploading these scenes. It's to me, and as someone that is passionate about writing since childhood, a pure gem of writing and story-telling. It was a slap across the face for me. Precious, touching lessons and messages. It was so beautifully made that I just started crying out of nowhere on the campfire scene. It wasn't even sad yet, but the way it was written just shook me to my core. And of course, I cried even more during the next scenes. Definetly one or even the best scene of this quest for me.
Penacony in general is just so wonderfully written. And I think that through many characters that we met there, people like me that are confronting dark thoughts and existantial crisis can find comfort, and some sort of answers.
I absolutely love Acheron and these scenes so much as well, they touched me really deeply and I feel like they aren’t being talked about enough
@@emerald6395 Yes, sadly I think that Tiernan is gonna be forgotten a bit by the fandom, and so those scenes too. When they are litteraly comforting to me, as much as was her conversation with Aventurine in the Nihility. Her guiding people out of it is just so beautifully made each time.

He’d been her enemy with completely unknown motives for so long yet her only concern was helping him find meaning in his life again- a lot of the stuff she said about it (eg meaning coming from inside you rather than the external world) resonated with my philosophical beliefs also, I’m just gonna stop here or I’m literally gonna write an essay
Even if it is under-appreciated by others we can still enjoy it on our own, ultimately people have different opinions so we just unfortunately may not all see it the same way
Penacony was so good like you said I’ve played Genshin and some hi3 and it was the best writing I’ve seen from Hoyo so far
@@emerald6395 Yeah as someone who relates deeply with Aventurine's mentality (Mentality because of course I could hardly relate to his past) her words were so meaningful and precious. They are two really deep and well-written characters and I couldn't wait for them to interact. I wasn't disappointed at all !
And yes of course we will still enjoy it on our own, I am used to it by now because I always care of dead NPCs 🤣
I didn't start Hi3 yet but I'm very curious about it, the conversation Acheron had with Welt was also very good and interesting, and made me want to know more
@@nononymoos Yes Aventurine is my second favourite also- his story was so good and I’m happy he got more recognition
I also got curious about hi3’s story due to hsr lore- it’s really nice because after chapter 5 you get trial characters for the story so you don’t even have to grind/roll you can just enjoy the story and nothing else
Just starts off a bit slow but gets really good at chapter 5ish (and there’s over 30 chapters), I’d really recommend :) If you play it I can add you if you want, I don’t have any friends that play it so my friend list is empty lol
I don't know, but I'm almost sure the final Acheron cutscene has an ost from HI3, idk just burst into tears thinking about kiamei
