Have you tried BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)? It connects the East Bay to San Francisco.
Nice video! Before I changed jobs, I used to ride Caltrain between SF and Mountain View along with many commuters. Years ago, the San Bruno and Hillsdale stations were street level and cars had to stop at the crossing to wait for trains to pass. I do agree the ticket price is a bit much.
Used to be that some NB trains were SRO in the AM. I think they’ve added cars to fix that. Cal Train is great for bikers, too. I rode with a bike for years.
