You can get heirloom shards faster and for free by saving up your crafting metals and unlocking low-tier cosmetics. By then, you'll have more chances unlocking higher-tier cosmetics with regular Apex Packs. With 2400 crafting metals and 28 Apex Packs each season, you should have better chances, now.
P.S., EA loves to be cheeky with your Apex Packs by placing legend thematic, epic, and legendary packs in the front instead of regular packs, forcing you to open them first. That being said, I suggest using your crafting metals first, opening regular packs second, and finally legendary packs to 100% guarantee the legendary cosmetics you want. ✍️

Are you on controller or mnk? Also i learned Recently that you can shoot before the pull out animation finishes. Not aim but shoot do maybe thats it.

It’s like a weird alter interaction, if you go into a deathbox with her passive through a wall but you’re physically close enough to the box you can take armor.

Everyone is crying about the universal heirlooms but they’re actually a great idea for those of us who don’t spend much money on this game. I am first prestige level 367 and have bought 70 packs. Still to this day I do not have an heirloom. I main horizon (10k kills) but what would be the point in buying her heirloom when she’s not the only legend I play? I makes more sense to use the shards on something that can go on all the legends I play. In all honesty you’re spending more trying to get these separate ones considering they’re 160 at the cheapest for each legend

I agree, but as a free player myself who spent all my free apex coins on packs to get an heirloom fast, I don't have the battle pass and without exotic shards the base model is quite boring.

No, this isn't why they add monetization. The actual reason why is when turbo whales support FOMO garbage like all the collection events and waste money on character skins you'll essentially never see during normal gameplay

@@devino1337The analogy you provided is pretty weak, grocery stores aren't charging $300 for a gallon of milk and yet they are still able to pay their employees and function as intended while providing food to communities at mostly reasonable prices. Meanwhile EA charges $300 for some pixels and fires all of their playtesters and QA while the game is in an incredibly buggy state and oftentimes not functioning as intended, all while EA has been posting record profits. I'm not against monetization in free to play games but it seems in bad taste and very out of touch to promote this particular kind of monetization in games given the context. Believe it or not most people would agree that $300 for a cosmetic in a video game is egregiously overpriced, especially given the state of the game. If you disagree with that then you're probably also out of touch.

Yeah I was wondering the same thing! Is it a bug with the alter passive or is it a bug with the wall and he was just regularly looting?
Alters passive is bugged and it lets you fully loot boxes through walls in the normal range

I think the katar is a good value at least when compared to previous heirlooms and mythic items. Here why. I determine value, based usability, versatility. The more often you can use a mythic item, the more value I deem it to have. Obviously the katar is universal and able to be used by everyone, by definition it automatically is a more valuable item than any other mythic item that is locked to one legend because you can only use it with that one legend. The katar can be used 24/7 no matter what legend you want to play as well as being able to customize it. You have access to 3 custom profiles to create 3 katar variants customized by you and you can coordinate to match those with your legend(s). It may seem bland in the lore and animation department compared to a personalized heirloom for a legend, but at the end of the day I think that the Katar’s are a bit overhated. The pricing I will never be a fan of, but it’s still an item I think is worth grabbing for a lot of people who are willing to buy cosmetics
Thank you for someone who gets it why get one cosmetic for 160 for only one legend when you get one cosmetic for 35 legends for 160 and you change up its look and customization on how you feel
