Great video. I am coming to madeira in december. Is spearfishing still good? Is a 5mm wetsuite ok?

Thank you! Yes... that's a good time of the year for white seabream, mullet, etc. Yeah, a 5mm wetsuit should be fine. Don't need to be much worried about the sharks, normally they are less common in the winter time, but anyways the worst that could happen is that you take one or two fewer fish home:))

Wow a hammer head in madeira? Where did you encounter it?

Yeah! This hammerhead was filmed in Calheta. They are not that uncommon on our coast, especially juveniles. But you have to be lucky (or unlucky, depending on your perspective, but in my opinion this kind of encounters is always interesting to witness, worth every lost fish😅) to see them, they usually get scared easily and run away (with a few exceptions like the one in the video, this specimen was very bold).
