If you were a teen in the late 80's early 90's and went to Wet n Wild on the strip neither the new wet n wild (not capitalized on purpose) or Cowabunga Bay look like a water park. What a lost treasure.
@@_Biggg_t 1000% agree with you both! I miss the old Wet N' Wild. They never should have torn it down to put up condos, then they ended up rebuilding it anyways and now it's kinda lame, imo.
hey you should come and check it out again, we added some new rides (the two you see but tower 1 or the tube rides) and we also added a little more extra flair throughout the park

The news just did a segment about water parks hurting for lifeguards, as in not being able to run at full capacity because there isn't enough staff to cover everything. It's cool that you worked there though. Do you remember why you left?
@@behindtheglamour oh I didn’t know about that! wow thanks for that info I’ll def look into it! and I know I left because the pay wasn’t it! i think my checks came out to like $100 and I got paid like $7-$8 or something like that. and even after doing a few rescues my anxiety just peaked and I realized the pay didn’t equal the task I was being asked to do

I don't know how they expect people to live off of $7 - $8 an hour, especially with as much as they make per ticket, and food/entertainment. And the fact that you LITERALLY save people from DROWNING 🙄 You rock, know your worth and don't settle for anything less!

EnderGuyPlayzMC Wet N Wild has more slides and things to do whereas Cowabunga Bay doesn't have that much rides yet. They are still in the process of constructing a few more water slides.
i can see another reason why cowabunga bay is closing! Wet N Wild at least has more slides BETTER WORKS (me and my friend made friends with 2 lifeguards at wet n wild) wet n wild has movie nights on friday and in wet n wild they let u go on some rides when the ride is closed well sometimes but most of the time they do! but the workers at cowabunga bay treat ppl like trash wet n wild works talk to u splash u they basically have fun with u unlike cowabunga bay! (tbh) so im kinda happy that cowabunga bay is closing (no hate please u have ur opinion i have mine) :p

The main reason the two family slides didn't open on time was because Wild Surf had to be redesigned after ProSlide claimed infringement on Polin for the original design being too similar to their Tornado. The ride had to be altered, and wouldn't be ready in time for the inaugural season.
Not negating the fact that it is a good park. I'm pretty much just relaying almost verbatim why he said those slides weren't ready at opening. Still, I love seeing parks do well and expand.

Nah, Cowabunga bay is better.. more intense slides. Shorter lines, better food. They even have the Dole Whip Ice cream from Disney's Tiki shack...

They're building a new family tube slide complex and a larger water play structure (similar to the original Cowabunga Bay in Utah) next year.
They built TWO faimly raft slides now. Wild Surf, and Beach Blanket Banzai.... the larger play structure should be up next near, in 2016.
