I actually just finished watching the full series again, and it’s was as amazing now as it was then! This is my most favorite series and truly what started me even watching the MCU movies years ago. It truly is perfection. I know Disney is doing a new season and just pulled it again to adjust the writing. I truly hope they don’t destroy this series as so many of us hold it at such a high standard.
obviously there were plans for future stories with how they ended it with Dex and everything but i think considering that it was cancelled before a proper season 4, and disney are kind of rebooting it, i see this as the ending for this kind of version, despite it clearly not being planned as a final episode of the entire story, i think it works just as well imo, but i think thematically your idea would be the most likely outcome for where the character was at and if they planned to end it in season 3 i could’ve seen that happening

Perfect ending would be kingpin lives free and matt dies. IMO, because the world is never fair and makes more sense in that way 😢
