Rock band Eridan was founded in 2001 by Dimo Todorov and Ivo Ikonomov in Sofia, Bulgaria.
In the spring of 2002, , they recorded their first maxi-single called “ Crystal Star “. The band became popular in the live music clubs around the country and became one of the most warmly welcome live bands in Bulgaria. Eridan is extremely successful charting rock band in Z-Rock Radio’s Kamenitsa Top 40, with many songs at #1 for more than 20 consecutive weeks.
The musicians add a large number of cover versions of famous world bands in their repertoire. Their stylistic focus is on Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. Over the years, lots of songs have been written, most of which entered various compilations that appeared on the Bulgarian market.
Eridan was special guest of many rock legends, who visited Bulgaria, as Glenn Hughes, John Lawton, Joe Lynn Turner and the groups Alkatrazz , Firewind and Grave Digger. They have appeared at the biggest Moto-Rock fests and most popular beer and rock festivals as well as at some joint concerts, together with other Bulgarian musicians. In 2014, the band became the winner in Kavarna Black See Battle of the Bands contest and was invited to perform at Kavarna Rock Fest.
Meanwhile, the band managed to shoot their first video clips of “Loneliness” and Hard World”.
The band is continually involved in charity events and is one of the most popular groups in Bulgaria.
In January2014, Eridan released their debut full-length album “The Path to Enlightenment”. This was followed by announcement of their winter tour and the album was officially presented in Sofia in Bulgarian language, and shortly afterwards, in English as well.
At present they are working on their second album, expected in 2015 with great excitement.
