NH 29 KOHIMA-MELURI ROAD UNSAFE FOR VEHICULAR MOVEMENT

Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant on Saturday 13th July issued a public advisory notice to exercise caution and avoid plying of NH 29 Kohima- Meluri road at Tarliedzu area, till restoration of the road which has sunk. But today when NLTV team went for ground report and witnessed vehicles still plying at the sunk stretch road. The portion of the road was sunk to around 2 feet down which is seen risky for even light motor vehicles to ply. Resident of that area, Neivotsuo, further I formed that one of the major causes is due to the poor drainage system and many has abandoned the houses. This year the road has sunk so much that the residents also feels unsafe.
