Cant believe I never heard of this, they should release this as an audio book. So much cast voice work for something the majority of trek fans wont experience. Thanks for preserving this!
There are TOS and TNG games that are also packed full of great voice acting by all the original casts. I was surprised. They definitely need to make new games / episodes / audio books out of these.
@@marcozolo3536 Actually, I think it's rather flat. It's rather obvious that all the actors recorded their lines separately, not acting against each other. Many lines sound like read straight from the script, too, instead of being, well, acted.
No, no it wasn't. It was good but there were better point n clicks back then that pushed boundaries. The 25th anniversary of star trek was tbh more ahead of its time...1993, fully voiced by EVERY actor and could use some of the best synthesisers at the time, and barely any hoops need to be jumped through in order to play it. Harbinger is a nightmare to get working, music / sound no longer works properly without the codecs of the time....
wow.. the music.. the sounds.. the cast doing voice acting.. it feels like I'm back in the 90s staying up late on a school night to watch the latest episode of Deep Space 9 not knowing what exciting adventure was next. Those were the days! Looks like we've got one more adventure to go on after all. :) EDIT: Really enjoyed watching that, didn't think the Defiant would make an appearance so that was nice surprise! The late game stuff on the alien plant looked rough though. Trying to figure out all those buttons and teleporter mazes would have been a nightmare!
Ah, memories. My uncle bought me this game for my birthday in '96. It was tough, in the later parts especially, but great fun. And 44:27 - one of my favorite moments from the game, lol. *CRASH* Jani! I'm deducting that from your pay! xD
Thanks for uploading! So many great memories with this game! Always got so freaked out by the doors opening and closing and the red aliens as a kid lol.
Wow i used to play the heck out of this game when i was younger like 6 or 7 yo... I remember it used to freak me out walking down those empty, too quiet hallways.. still get the feeling watching this haha
Mike Gallant discovery is on netflix for those outside the untied states for those in the united states if you wish to watch discovery you need cbs all access
wow, looks like an excellent game except for the pipe maze part. that would have been the part i doubt i would have gotten through if i knew of this game. TY MrTennek, i enjoyed it.
I loved this game. Maybe Im strange but I loved all 3 DS9 games they made. Own them all. Dominion Wars gave me hell to get it to run and in fact Ive not got it to work but once when it was new. This game was probably the best of the 3 with all the cast voicing it. Nice to see it again. It also has the coolest box :) This is better than The Fallen and it came out 4 years later in 2000.
Just in case you haven't stumbled across it in the years since this comment, there are actually four DS9 games. The fourth is the oldest, for SNES and Genesis/Mega Drive, and its titled Crossroads of Time. What I've played of the game itself was fun, but challenging; the only knock I really have against it is that it has the single worst rendition of any star trek theme I've heard in a game. Also, I just learned about The Fallen earlier today and I can't get over the voice actor playing Sisko.
Chris Peplinski - They both couldn’t make it ‘cause Miles and Julian were both spending hours and hours in Quark’s holosuites having gay se.. I mean, “recreating ancient battles”... :::big wink:::... Worf was back at Mileses quarters banging Keko like they’ve been doing ever since they were on the Enterprise. 😑
Serious answer here: I wouldn't be surprised if they couldn't get the actors. DS9's video game history is troubled in that not all of the cast have appeared in them. There's even a DS9 game that didn't have Avery in it, even though Sisko is. Oh and in response to the other comment, this is meant to be set in Season 3. So, no Worf.
@@nothri 'The stardate given by Envoy Bannik, combined with Sisko's rank of captain with his goatee and unshaven head, firmly places the game between "The Adversary" and "The Way of the Warrior".' From Memory Alpha.

How much midnight oil did I burn on this on the family PC, desperately hoping that Mum wouldn’t wake up, race out, & demand that I turn the computer off ! I’m a shocked that I cannot remember if we bought it or not. Possibly rented. Video rental stores were beginning to stock quite a few games at that time. A decade after having shelves scantily stocked with beta-max cassette tapes.
Back in the day, I got a copy and tried to play this on my friend's brand new computer. The loading was so slow and the frame rate was so terrible that we didn't make it far before we just gave up. Turns out that the actual frame rate was not much better.
James the director of Avatar had the idea for the movie in the late 80s. The problem was that the technology needed to make such a movie wasn’t created yet In a interview he said he had a good 20 years to figure out everything that made the movie possible
Well, in the last few years. No, there hasn't been any new Stat Trek games. Which is odd really. Some game studio normally manages to sweet talk CBS into a game based on their new IP or something. Yet very little has come from it. Sure we got content drops in a few Star Trek Mobile games but who really plays those? And more content stories and ships in Star Trek Online. Which kind of does everything that Star Trek games had done 25+ years ago minus some okay-good RTS games. It could be CBS is very gun shy about licensing their Star Trek IP to any video game studio these days. After a long track record of some TERRIBLE cash grabs that flooded the market to drown out the truly better ones. Even cash grabs from rather respectable publishers doesn't help either (looking at Activision).
This game is the only appearance of the Tirrion race anywhere in Trek. All we learn about them throughout the game is that they’re a naturally diplomatic people, that they have given names but no surname, their alcohol tolerance is non-existent, and their local government is known as the Tirrion Assembly. Sadly, we never learn what they look like and know nothing about their homeworld. Admittedly, I’d like to see a remake of this game and to learn more about the Tirrions.
I don't remember this game at all. Doesn't really impress compared to games like Armada 1-2, DS9 The fallen or Bridge commander or even the academy games. However, 1995 I won't be too hard to judge.
Cant believe I never heard of this, they should release this as an audio book. So much cast voice work for something the majority of trek fans wont experience. Thanks for preserving this!
Great point. Did you hear that Andrew Robinson is voice recording his book "A stitch in time"? it will be so great to hear Garak's voice again.

The portrayal and lines of Quark in this game is perfect!
Armin Shimerman's lines are a high point on DS9: The Fallen, also.
My thanks to whoever uploaded this, I've never finished the game, I now thoroughly enjoyed watching it.
The fact that this game has nearly all the original cast is the real win for me!
The voice acting is actually good. There is a lot of personality.
It certainly helps to have the original actors and quality control of the people who work on the shows to direct
I thought it was great as well!
This is actually a really cool game. I played the crap out of it when I was a kid. Also played Star Trek Klingon and Star Trek Borg.
I so enjoyed playing this game. Was very intricate for it's time. Thank you for posting.
I can only imagine when she said "colder" in the context of Terok Nor, she meant in concept, not environment. The Cardassians are a heat-loving race.
Garak complains in the show that he is miserable on DS9 because (among other things) the temperature is never suited for him, as a Cardassian.
This was my first ever PC Game. Thanks for the upload! Memories.
"Terok Nor, a Cardassian knife at the throat of Bajor". I like that line, poetic.

Not really.
