These BF deals blow. The initial steam deals that they took down after some questionable folks complained via tickets (ugh) were decent and actually deals. These prices don’t seem any different than normal.
I bought all the wp packs and the step up because it was able to instantly let me catch up a bit on ob10 stream saber and ob10 stream guard and ob6 protectors blade. And pocketed the 2 weapon vouchers to help with future ranking events
The way I see it, i think it is worth it. Ladder Banner: Needs Red Gems. So, buy the needed Gems with the Black Friday deal. Each of the ladder is one Guaranteed 5* and you get more if lucky. Ladder Bonus: Mythril Ores, Weapon Voucher, 200 Character weapon parts, and another random 5* ticket. Thats at least Seven 5* weapons for just 11k gems. Then the rest are from the bundles around 370 character weapon parts, totaling 570 character weapon parts with Ladder. Comparison to buying a limited bundle of 300 character weapon parts = $120+. With $130, you get 570 weapon parts instead with the Black Friday Deal. Also I may be wrong You can then the Non-expiring 570 character weapon parts for Limited weapons like new characters.
I think some packs have some value indeed, because you can save, but I think they should give us round numbers and more than 20 or 50. I think they should start at 100, then 200 then 400. That would have changed things in my opinion!
Thank you for your service (no sarcasm). I was trying to think from that perspective for the last 12 months but in the end - i cant deny reality and that is they arent caring/investing/developing the game to justify spending. It just doesnt make sense for 2-3 hours of new gameplay every month. Rankings are a joke anyway and GBs i see are pushing more and more spenders away. They could have made at least some neat icons or whatever for high rankings....I mean i can do one with AI in 20min jeez.
I don’t think the packs with 20 and 50 weapon parts are bad if you’re buying all the others. Sure they’re not enough for a full ob by themselves, but the value is similar to the other packs and they add up. We also get the weekly coop shop packs with 20 parts at a time and lots of 2-3* copies of a weapon while pulling, so you can use those parts to help finish off an OB for upcoming banners. I also know people who have had to buy the weekly 10 weapon part packs for a character to finish something off because they ran out of parts, and the price of buying these generic packs ahead of time is much better than having to buy the weekly 10 part packs if you run out and need just a few more to finish something off. The 20 part pack doesn’t seem great considering you can usually get 100 parts for 3k red crystals when someone is on banner, but these are generic parts so have more value and it’s also using 1000 blue crystals. For the other packs; The 50 part pack comes out to 2.5 parts per $1 The 100 part pack comes out to 2.56 parts per $1. The 200 part packs comes out to 2.67 parts per $1. In comparison, the new packs they have on offer now only feature 150 parts per pack for $60, which comes out to 2.5 parts per $1. They definitely used to have 200 parts available at a time last year which is worth considering, but the 150 part packs have become the norm since at least the Bahamut banners. You also have to remember those old packs were 200 parts total and only 100 parts for the specific banner character. So we’re losing out on total number of parts but getting more parts for whoever is currently on banner. If you 100% build everyone then the old packs are probably better, but considering some people only focus on certain characters and some characters don’t get any limit banners, getting extra red xiii, Lucia, barret, etc parts don’t feel as worth it. If I was able to go back and convert the 600 weapon parts I have for my red xiii from buying old cloud/ tifa packs into an extra 300 parts for cloud or generic parts I would probably take that deal in a heartbeat.
@@JC-sd1xq I see your points, and I agree these packs do have some value. My main issue is that, for a day like this, I don’t think any pack should cost more than $40. To make it a real deal, $40 should get us 400 weapon parts. That would help the community by bringing back newer players who want to catch up with the game, or at least make it more affordable for everyone, even if it’s just once a year. I agree that in the past it was 200 parts split between units, which wasn’t ideal, as you pointed out. Generic weapon parts are definitely better! My issue is really just with the price

@@pliyo I believe they are specifically talking about for 2 hours after launch the prices were 19.99 for pack 4, 38.99 for pack 5 and 59.99 for pack 6 on steam (before they changed it to current prices) so for 2 hours, people who copped early, or were awake if you are EU etc was able to get almost a 175% discount in price.
