Woah! This looks awesome! I recently picked up an EOS R10 and I'm struggling to get smooth footage for shooting cars and other thingfs. Everything is very shaky and distorted, even with the bundled image stabilized lens. In the description, it says you are using a Ronin-M. Did you use that for most of the shots? And did you disable the IS settings in video mode? Looking forward to your next project!
My camera is set to mid range is. When I’m doing a car feature my camera is always on the gimbal unless the is some special b roll I want to get. Half the job is leg movement especially with a gimbal, and how you carry the camera but almost all videos even with gimbals will still need post stabilization depending on how particular you are with shakes and abrupt movements. If you’re not using a gimbal the best way to capture stable shots like a gimbal is with a top handle or camera strap. Those were my methods before my ronin.
@@TremondDirectorTruesdale ah I see! Thanks for the reply! Do you use any manual lenses? All of my digital IS options get disabled with a manual lens. I’m thinking of getting a gimbal like a Scorp-C or one of the Zhiyun entry level gimbals. I know it’s not a ronin, but do you think those types of gimbals would get results that are decently close?
No problem. Both of my sigma art lenses have autofocus but of course I do manual focus just as much. And aside from the follow features that the new gimbals have, any standard gimbal will work well with kit lens setup. It wasn’t till I started working with heavier bodies and lenses did I need to upgrade to my ronin m, and haven’t needed to switch since. So just take note into lenses and weight when picking your gimbal.
amazing work with the r10 man, I have the R10 with 18-35 1.8 but never came close to the way you shoot, very smooth and stable footage, what software you use for stabilization? I'd gladly pay if you could teach me to shoot like you do, btw I live in Malaysia
A lot a footwork with my ronin m. After that I work in premier pro.
Also if you set your camera to a certain amount of stabilization you can get better shots as well, though you will crop some of your image.
@@TremondDirectorTruesdale thanks for the tips man, I almost didn't believe my eyes when I found out this was shoot on the r10, also what settings do you shoot at? hdr pq or standard? and what aperture should I shoot at for sharp footage?
nice video! r10
video setting pls :)
Settings constantly change based on the day. So of course manual mode starting at 24fps, 1.8 100iso
I’m looking at one of these camera mostly for car photography and the odd video attempts here and there, would you recommend it for photos as well?
I do
