You should do a guide/guides on how to identify all the different versions of the scream masks. Would definately be helpful for me on my hunt to find the exact one i had as a kid, and im sure many others!

I do love the gen one and two masks of course, but i love how the KNB looks cartoonish, almost like a Kid-Ghostface.

movie lol. i didn’t realize there was much to the masks for the scream series, i really want atleast one movie accurate mask for each horror icon, this is defiantly going to help on that search. keep up the good work douglas!

The KNB mask was scary when I first saw it. It looked terrifying especially during the Casey death scene

Awesome video man!! Huge scream fan. Random question,anyway you can check out which scream mask was used in ScaryMovie 🧐 the scream on that movie has a HUGE mouth unlike any other masks. My guess is they also altered it so they could legally use it.
Another way to identify an early Gen 1 is small slits, one on the very top seam of forehead and slits on each side of temples. 😉

I just ordered KNB mask from Clive. My girlfriend saw it and said “it looks so ugly compared to the proper Ghostface.” I’m glad They didn’t reshoot those scenes, it gives a pretty cool extra bit to the development of the movie :) I don’t have a big collection and try to just have *one* version of each character but two Ghostface looks cool because they’re very different side by side

Hopefully you would reply to my comment! But I just found a green ghost face at the thrift measures 11 1/2 just as you said with extra dimple mid mouth! Would that be gen 1? Or I’m just confused on the color of green can also be gen 1? And how rare it is! Thanks !

I’m pretty sure it was actually called the “Peanut-Eyed Ghost”. Wes Craven (as well as Tim Wagstaff) have confirmed this. Other than that, great information!
It was nicknamed that but was not originally named that
In his write up it states it was known as that by many people, because it was a nickname given to the mask by fans because the true origins of the mask design names had not been discovered

Hello, I have a fantastic faces mask that measures 11 and a half inches but it doesn't have the second dimple midway on the mouth. Would this be a gen 1 or 2?
If you measured correctly and it comes out to 11 1/2 it would be a gen one. Some don’t have a pronounced dimple or don’t have one noticeable but the measurement is the sure way of knowing

This is very interesting!! I have an old mask also that has this exact same thing! The 2nd dimple thats further up the mouth looks like two tiny little holes,almost as if it was the beginnings of a dimple! It's like proper detective work identifying these!
