OB you have to understand that everyone on the democrat side is better than trump. If you choose not to vote you might as well be voting for trump. Even if the democratic nominee cheats to win the nomination, they are still less of a cheater than trump and that is a guarantee. Also if you don’t vote you don’t get to complain. That’s just how it goes.
And by the way I am a Bernie supporter all the way, but you have to be realistic and acknowledge that literally anyone in the race right now is better than who we have in office

The real problem in my eyes is that we have got to set hard cast rules (LAWS!) instead of treating government with the "He's right old honorable fellow" mentality. Don't allow the senate to block supreme court justices on an arbitrary schedule decided by the controlling party. Don't let the president decide that he still has control over his investments while serving. Make subpoenas enforceable or not exist. We need to eliminate "They are supposed to" from any of the rules.

At this point, I really don't care if the Dems nominate a rock; I'll vote for it. There is currently in place a man and philosophy which is busy eroding the underpinnings of the economy. That it hasn't collapsed is a testament to how well it was doing. Case in point - Trump likes to brag about the stock market, except that a very simple trend analysis shows clearly that returns are dropping off; they're currently at about 1/2 the rate they were when Trump took office. This despite the massive influx of cash corporations got from the 'tax cut' which was primarily used to buy back stock elevating its price. At the current rate of decline, we can expect the rate of return on stocks to drop to zero in about another 2 years. Manufacturing is still down 25% of 2016 levels. While there are more jobs, a defining statistic is that while the average has gone up, the median (that point which divides a sample population into 2 equal halves) has gone down. At a minimum, that means that 1/2 the population is less well off in terms of buying power than before, assuming no CPI increases. I prefer to use CPI rather than the more commonly known inflation because inflation doesn't include increases in things like natural gas, water, or rent, where CPI does. To that end, 1/2 the population is actually receiving nearly 11% below its 2000 buy ability, in spite of the 'improvements' to the economy. (yes - the problem predated Trump, but his policies have exacerbated the issue) A major economic and financial crash is coming, except that thanks to Trump and the Republicans (and to a degree the Democrats, though they appear to be trying to correct themselves), our nation's ability to recover will be gone. All the wealthiest will simply move from the country leaving the rest of us to figure out how to pick up the pieces of a problem they created.
