I like your video but you’re making it hard on yourself with those panels and zip locks. Leave panel with one screw in it and bag up all the screws for each wing. All the screws are the same (sheet metal screws). I like to zip tie entire bag of screws to one inspection port. That’s how I perform annuals. P.S. it’s always good to have some spare tinnerman clipnuts laying around as well.
One could maintain himself. Can't log into books but then pay only for the inspection, which i don't even know why os it required on a private plane that's not being used for rental or instruction.
A friend and I just purchased a 1965 Cessna 150 and it's due for an annual in a month, this video will be a great help. I do have a question though, the video does not show any detail about taking the seats out, that's kinda puzzling to me. Any advice, and or pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bob
What is the regulation about the owner performing his own inspection? Curious, I thought the owner was allowed to perform maintenance on his own plane.
Some preventative maintenance can be performed by a non A&P owner, refer to AC 43-12 for additional guidance. An owner could perform the entire annual but the work would have to be under the supervision of an A&P and signed off by an IA.
Nice video, but hard to watch. I could barely hear your voice and then suddenly the music (that is way too loud compared to your voice) made me turn my volume down even more.
Very enjoyable video. Also nice to see RC planes in background
Good tip on the noggin bonkers.
Thanks for sharing!
No filter changes?

100 only inspection, what you do on the engine?pls let me know tech reference

Are you allowed to put that back together or does the mechanic do that?

@@FlyingWildAZ Thanks
Tim Timmons , 43.13 😉
@@FlyingWildAZ false. See 65.95. An IA may not supervise an annual inspection. He or she may supervise a progressive inspection.
Flying Wild AZ i think an IA can’t supervise inspections, he is the one that have to do the inspection.
Aloha Tim! Great video! Sent you a message on Instagram. Mahalos, John.
Mahalo John!

How to prep?
Mucho Dinero and a jar of Vaseline.
Sad to hear this aircraft crashed.
Yes, but I survived and will recover. It was a good bird I hope they find why the engine lost power.
