Dude, you were the absolute best cast member of all time. There was no one I related to better, than you, and you WON! Your wife seemed so special, and so suited to you. Blessings, buddy
Extremely useful. I will show my brother-in-law this trick. Together, we cut about 20 cords a year for heating. We get a leaner every now and then. Will the saw plunge through a red oak that easy?
Really good video tenta! 🦌🦌 From Hangout in the outdoors with belle. That's my new UA-cam channel. Thank you tenta inspiring me ! And I know that there's always one positive can you said on the show was to keep grinding and pushing through. I just put you in the back of my head and I think about that. Belle McGowan
I’d just add that, for an extra margin of safety, once you’ve made the plunge, got the hinge where you want it, and cut back to the last bit of strap, withdraw the saw, take a step back, and make the final release cut with the tip of the bar. This puts the faller a step or more further away from the stump, and if things go bad, that might make a difference.
Ash is the worst I've encountered for barber chair effects. That old spruce wouldn't barber chair, no risk there at all, but a hard wood under pressure from another tree leaning on it is going to give one grief. you did show a good example in the short clip.

Glad it was helpful! Not sure, I’ve never cut an oak.

Thanks! Congrats on your channel!
Super great information
👍
I’m not a tree cutter, but I learned something that I will continue to ponder. Thank you!
My pleasure!

Good advice!
