Its a shame some ppl leave holes and sometimes damage trees ect looking for gold, me personally when I look for gold I make sure I left the soil the way I found it, im very careful not to damage trees ect, just sayen :)

Incredible crystalline specimen. I never knew of such gold. How is it formed? Maybe there is more in that area to find. I saw that you mentioned from an earlier guest comment below you were traveling in Bali. Have a good trip. Are you prospecting there?
Gday SL.. it's best best to google it, id just mess it up!! haha.. And i dont think there is a 100% accurate explanation on how it forms, only some well educated theories. Makes some interesting reading. But, in any case, some are absolutely stunning. Ive got a few others which i may share on a vid one day. I was in Bali for work, only for the one night. Unfortunately not prospecting!! Cheers mate, JG
Here is what Google says "Crystalline gold itself is much rarer than other types of coarse or “natural” gold because it can only form under very particular circumstances. The gold crystals can only grow in the very unusual locations where they are not hindered by a lack of space, such as large cavities or other voids within rock formations" I also learned that the space needed for the crystals to grow must stay available for a very long time. I can now understand why it's more valuable. All the conditions must stay perfect for it to happen. Work in Bali.. Oh well. Plenty of time to get back on the Gold hunt. Best of luck!
