Thank you for sharing this short video and sharing with us how you are keeping the tradition alive. Love and blessings to you all 🙏🏼 I am glad you are still continuing the ancient ways of honouring your ancestors.
Beautiful!! I am learning to facilitate ceremony in the US and work with this medicine. I love working with children and am so inspired by Escuela Caracol. I plan to donate a portion of ceremony proceeds to this school when I begin to facilitate. ❤️ gracias!
It would be great if you donated all the proceeds and did this as a service and a way to bring balance and justice to all the injustices your European ancestors committed against native people. Time to stop the colonial shills!
that is a beautiful practice of sacred reciprocity❤ we are all one family of mother earth & finding a way such as this to truly honor ancient culture, community & connection, and to support ones own wellbeing with the intention of giving back with gratitude is powerful heart centered work❤
That is exactly on of our goals, that's why we have the Mayan Cosmovision as one of our main Pilars where teaching, we are so glad you enjoyed it! To learn more about Escuela Caracol visit our site: www.escuelacaracol.org Greetings!
Thank you for taking the time to see it, we believe that respecting and promoting the local culture will help empower our children and lead our community towards a brighter future. If you ever visit San Marcos la Laguna, feel free to stop by and learn more about our project. Blessings!
Caro, I am so happy I found your channel through this video. I really love and appreciate the wisdom you are both sharing in this video. Thank you, my heart expands with gratitude and love
Estoy muy agradesida encontrar este video hermoso. I have been doing research and looking for the true recipe for ceremonial cacao. Could you please share a recipe of how our ancestors made this drink?
I learnt to work with Cacao with Keith, the Chocolate shaman in Guatemala. I believe this is where Izaias S. Mendoza, leading this ceremony in the video also learnt about working with Ceremonial Cacao - I highly recommend working with Keith. You can find him by searching Keith's Cacao :)
@@LisaFearon I highly doubt Izaias, a Mayan, learned from a white man. This is a mayan tradition so please enlighten me - how did a white man teach a mayan man about his own culture??????? I've heard atrocities about Keith and his exploitation of the Mayan community he learned from, not the other way around!
Why do I get so GODDAMN depressed a couple of hours everytime after having cacao? Is this standard? Is it an indication I need to have more? What gives?
Come on people begin to do real native ceremony and create real community not just as a way for self-aggrandisement, profit and the objectification of sacred plants, sacred knowledge for mercantilistic ends. You can support the community and the world if you practice like Mayan people do as a community. New colonisers going around selling ceremony but not changing a bit the colonial mind set that makes business of everything native, set up businesses and companies and then they "donate a portion" of their profits to make themselves feel good and pacify their conscience. Shameful!!!
If the genuine native ceremony is lost then it's pretty hard to keep it perfectly original like how it used to be. Much was sadly lost over the centuries.

Well said...thank you
What is real native ceremony, and how can I learn more about it?

@@braumenheimer9607 Why would you want to learn about it, if you don't mind my asking? Curiosity or something else perhaps?
@@siervodedios5952 Do you believe or think is lost?
