@@darrellp8172no. That makes zero scientific sense. First, he didn’t grow up in ‘space’, he grew up on Mars, which has 1/3 the gravity of Earth. Being in Earth would like suddenly gaining 3 times your weight. It would have been worse if he spent a lot of time in zero gravity based on the amount of muscle and bone loss astronauts today suffer even after a week in space.
He can do it, it's just Earth's gravity is killing him slowly.. he has to expend more energy to do most things. it's possible for a few days before his body dies.,

I watched the movie, I really liked it, of course it's "sci-fi" just video calling over that distance doesn't work like that 😂, but it were beautiful if it would be possible. Still a nice story

for hard truth: nobody with more brain activity than a dead amoeba would think about a return ticket from Mars. just think about the extra weight to bring fuel to mars to be used for return trip which could be used for equipment. it is more likely you would dissassemble any spacecraft for the station on mars and be done; it is a one way ticket.
