In my opinion student concertos should not be overlooked, even though they are not very difficult to the professional player, it still sounds great and the students learning the piece will have a great recording to listen to. So, thank you for posting this video. (And beautifully played, with outstanding dynamic ability and tone control and tempo that fits the music perfectly)
@@realdanielshock I agree they are not difficult. Vivaldi probably didn't think of it that way, I imagine he was writing what he thought was beautiful. Calling it a student concerto seems to imply it is somehow substandard, which may be so with some as they are written specifically to teach, but I think we agree this concerto is excellent. Just some food for thought.
Grande, maestro Kuschnir, qué belleza, que virtuosismo, qué delicadeza y al mismo tiempo qué fuerza en esta tremenda interpretación. Gracias por este maravilloso regalo para todos los amantes del gran Vivaldi.
First, bravo to Maestro Kuschnir for performing this concerto with this wonderful ensemble of young musicians. I've never heard of Boris Kuschnir but that doesn't matter. He is a musician who makes music for the right reasons: love, beauty and sharing & inspiring his God-given gift to young musicians and an appreciative audience. Much like Vivaldi, the "Red" priest, who composed many concerti for an all female orphanage ensemble easy enough for them to play, Mr. Kuschnir teaches & communicates his love & passion for music through this wonderful performance that any human of any ethnicity can understand. Again, bravo and thank you!
Esto es absolutamente maravilloso. El sentimiento que expresa el intérprete con sus gestos y expresiones, me conmueven totalmente. Enhorabuena que lo hace con jóvenes intérpretes.
Wonderful playing.I enjoy listening to you.I can tell that you have a musical talent because you sound very musical and not everybody has a musical talent. As a whole your playing was awesome.
I have the recording [and group photograph I made of this concerto in a performance in Bangor [N Wales ]Cathedral in April 1966 with the UCNW C and O and Gand S socs Orchestra under ,and invited by ,conductor Davis Nevens -Leader Margaret Collins-[of Stoke on Trent] The Soc presented me with an LP of Robert Schumann Symphony No 3 in Eflat- -Rhenish.[ Made by the Electronics dept] and later I received a shellac LP of the whole gig with their Der Freischutz overture on the B side.I put it on tape and CD in 2018. The gig was a memento from the C and O Orchestra to me because from 1962 to 1965 I was their first [BMus]student leader with David their 1st student conductor - Happy days. Some names from that time - Gerry Whittham of Colchester violin , Sian Caffell of Higate ,violin, Brenda Goldfinch of Essex?,viola,Stephen Ward , of Bangor cello, Roger Symmomds -of Cheltenham ,horn, Theoretical physicist Keith Winter of Kent who decamped to an MMus course ,and now possibly still in in Australia ,clarinet.John Howell Jones of Cemes Bay ,M Mus ,cello.Jennifer Ballard [nee Bis]of Slough ,violin, Owain Tudor Edwards ,of Llangollen ,viola. My ex tutor, Welsh composer William Mathias,of the Black Mountains , congratulated me later. Before Bangor Id been on a studentship between the MU,the Local Authority and the RLPO under leader Peter Mountain in 1962 and my teacher Gerhard Dreschler used to play this at NWest gigs he led.. David Nevens later became head of the Welsh School of Music and Drama. After a summer season in Llandudno pier orchestra I was in my 1st violin teaching job [in Doncaster ] and drove to the gig in Bangor and back that day/evening ! pmn .

Did Vivaldi write it for students?
@@joeschacher2786 not sure but most Vivaldi concertos aren't that hard

I’m Suzuki book 5 and trying to perfect this mind blowing concerto
@Joe Schacher
He wrote most his pieces for these girls who lived in an orphanage those girls were his students

This gentleman plays this concerto very beautifully with great feeling. He is so good!
Very good, enough to make Vivaldi proud if he is still alive today and hears this.

Vivaldi grasps you and you are overwhelmed by his beauty. And the violinist is overwhelmed. Vivaldi needs few notes to create a beautiful atmosphere.
My gosh it’s beautiful

Wonderful...
Vivaldi é meu preferido❤
Very accurate and excellent😍❤
Marvelous!
Thank you
Beautiful recording. The third movement is so whimsical about 3/8 notation and the syncopation that puts it in an even measure mode.
marvellous music
Il largo è davvero, davvero magico❤❤❤❤

Я помешалась на Кушнире. Вернее, на его звуке. Милюков все Боря, Боря. С уст не сходит. Очень приятный человек (Борис Кушнир). Играет божественно
Do u know,it is a concert in macao
What does largamente mean
It means slowly.
It’s a tempo
It means ‘broadly, generously’
My least fave tempo is definitely largo
Largamente means longly

Boris may be good on the violin but he'll never know what its like to snort blow to classical music from dusk til dawn on an alcohol fuelled binge
