Hi babes. so this foundation was released worldwide yesterday Friday the 13th. And i purchased this faux filter foundation from Selfridges in Oxford Street. The said hula beauty foundation will not be available in Australia until next month (Australia). And if i am correct, Sephora AU will be the or one of the stockist.
This will be my very first Huda Beauty purchase and if i were to purchase something, it has to be the foundation. And, I am not entirely disappointed.

Loved the honest review! I had similar issues....had to return mine. My issues (top 3):
1.) This is not an oily girls' dream foundation - my face was greasy after 6 hours (#notoilygirlapproved)
2.) You have to SET this foundation otherwise you are left with a weird texture on your face all day.
3.) I had a hard time selecting my shade, if you look at the marketing campaign models and picked your shade selection based on them you would be so way off. Best advise would be to go to a store and get color matched.
damicoco1 everything you said is what I experienced. We definitely need to set it no matter the skin type because of that weird texture. I tried to guess my shade by using the models and the online pictures as well and it was confusing. So I’m glad I could go to the store. And even then, the shade is almost off. She might need to tweak the undertones a little bit more and bring out more shades. But she’s done an alright job adding some shades for us woc in my opinion. She just needs to tweak those ambitious and misleading claims!

Thank you for your review! One thing I'm noticing is using less primer and little bit less foundation and putting on more foundation on spots etc will work better! I recommend that after seeing more reviews!

Totally getting it. And Huda has always said its medium coverage and can be built up to full coverage. Your skin does look great in those pics for sure.
Cool. See, that is the thing. i saw different claims on different sites. shop huda beauty says full coverage. And she said one pump is enough for full coverage lol. Sephora says medium and cult beauty says full. Urrgh. Anyhoo, its medium.

Funmi Oke Yeah I agree. At first, it doesn’t look like it but because it dries slightly darker, it is an ok fit for me. If you are my shade, maybe try the shade 450G in store before you buy it. Thanks hun. Xo
i'm quite curious if it will work better on you by applying it with a brush. base on the reviews i've watched, it worked perfectly with the ones that used it with a brush and failed with a beauty blender.
Joanna Camille Luna I applied it with a brush and it applied better with the beauty blender. But I believe it only worked better with the beauty blender because I started with the other side and by the time I got to the brush side, it has started drying. I think I would prefer a brush with this one thgh. We’ll see

Im actually surprised the shade you got - considering its in the 'Tan' spectrum. Ive ordered mine...just waiting to recv it. Not sure about the shade though LOL

Hey babe. Yeah. When i matched it in store, it didn't seem that bad to be honest. It seemed to suit me perfectly but and as you can see, I was wrong. lol. And because it was a so crazy that day, i couldn't get matched and go out to see it in the daylight. Neither could i swatch it and leave the store because it was getting sold out. arghhh. Anyhow, i am stuck with this one now and will just mix this and my 2 shade lighter Fenty together lol

The shade range and the guide they posted is a bit confusing. And with how busy and kinda "not so nice" some of their customer service was in store, we kinda end up guessing. lol. I just watched you video :-)

I was on the fence about 440 and 450. I'm a little lighter than you and while you ended up being able to make 440 work I think I'm going to get 450.
Yeah i mostly use 440 as a concealer these days tbh

I really like how this foundation looks on you, even when you do the close up at the end. As far as the claims, meh but I would consider buying it except I want to try the Estee Lauder one first and the darkest shade they sell in my country is 5w1 and Huda is not (yet) launched here.😥😥😥😭😭😭

I will skip this. You're the second review with oily skin that had their oils breakthrough. Plus I hear ppl complain about the strong scent. I don't like that.
Yeah the scent is their but it didn't bother me as much. Not as much as the covergirl healthy elixir foundation - phew!!!

Doublewear was my holy grail foundation until I tried Fenty, now I mix it with Fenty for better coverage and oil control.

I can't really find my shade in Double wear or Fenty . In double wear I am between rich ginger and amber honey ( n2) but definitely not rich chestnut or bronze . In fenty , I am somewhere around 370 or 390 .
Maybe I'll try mixing the two brands as well bc I get super oily in the evenings .
I actually mixed both the estee lauder and the huda beauty just to see. and though the estee lauder performs really well on its own, both foundations were amazing in terms of oil throughout the day,
I use rich chesnut in estee lauder. though its a bit lighter, i make it work. and my fenty is 420 - which is light as well. its a shame we have to mix. But yeah i make it work. xo

Hi babe. thank you. I am also NW45 in Mac and i picked this colour. however, it is lighter than the NW45. I am about to go into the store and change from the 440G to the 450G.. Or maybe buy the 440G and mix it. It depends on what i swatch.

I had issues with the customer service so unfortunately, i will not be purchasing another shade of this foundation. However, i believe i am either a mixture of chocolate mousse and mocha or just mocha on its own. So sorry babe

I am the same color as you in all other foundations and I ordered 440G and 450G because I can’t tell which one we are 😢
Rae Breezy Ahhh the struggle is real. 440G ends of looking good after setting. So maybe mixing it if 440G doesn’t work on its own would be better. I am curious to know so pls keep me updated. Sigh

Is this foundation good for sensitive skin?
I would say that it doesn't give off any vibe or outcome that shows it isn't good for sensitive skin. And i also have sensitive skin.
What shade are you in Estée Lauder?
I use the shade; 5C1 Rich chestnut which is a tiny bit lighter but it's perfect on my skin tone after highlighting and contouring. xo

MsTopacJay I own Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and was contemplating between the Huda Beauty and Fenty Foundation

1) Both Foundation are (in my opinion), medium coverage, but Huda Beauty is more medium than FB.
2) They last about 5 hours before oil starts coming thru.
3) Overtime, they both don’t do anything for textures ( if you have it).
4) They both have a scent but more rosy/fragrance).
5) Huda Beauty performs better than FB after sweating - it doesn’t break down like FB does.
I have them both, but because I sweat in my face more (even in winter) I see myself gearing more towards Huda Beauty. If I don’t want to use any of my other foundations.
