All I know is one time I joined a lodge before I got out years ago and when I was asked who I put my faith in and I said Jesus I was quickly and abruptly interrupted and told not to say Jesus in here but to use the word god. So I say the Masons aren't Christians and the ones who say they are are kidding themselves

@Ronald It's not specifically that word.... in the ceremony of initiation, you only give the answers that the Junior Deacon tells you to.
In Freemasonry we do not discuss religion and specific religious figures, because potentially, we have men of all religions present and mentioning one specific character, alienates all the others. We are about unity, not division.
To say we aren't Christian, is partly true and partly untrue. How? Because we have men of all the worlds faiths. Some are christian, some are not. In Freemasonry, a man's faith is irrelevant, as we are NOT a religious organisation. It's like having a Christian only football tournament.... completely pointless and irrelevant.

Now, you're being silly. What would be the point of having a Holy Bible in the Lodge room, if the contents of it is rejected? That just does not make sense. The Holy Bible is present as a nod to our supposed beginnings in the middle ages, England/Scotland which are, traditionally Christian countries. Nowhere does it state that this needs to be a Christian bible. Nor does it specify which translation of the bible this should be, or which books it should contain. These are all important to any christian... Clearly it isn't for a mason. The book is there for ceremony and to chery pick symbolism from. It isn't there to actually act as a guide to a christian life, otherwise they would take greater care in stipulating that it should be a specific bible compatible with the beliefs of the supposed christian mason. Claim 1: Joining the Lodge requires Christians to ignore the exclusivity of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. False. Joining a Lodge requires a statement of belief in a supreme being (which Christians obviously do). That that statement could equally be answered in the affirmative by, say, a Muslim, has no bearing on the beliefs of the Christian Freemason.
Claim 2: Freemasonry has a dogma regarding the attainment of heaven. False. Freemasonry allegorically refers to Biblical references to heaven in its initiations, but has no dogma whatsoever about heaven. In fact, Freemasonry has no dogma of its own at all. Your belief is not modified, challenged or suppressed in any way by being a Freemason. If you find that your beliefs change as a result of being a Freemason, then that was probably more about you than the fraternity.
Claim 3: All "volumes of sacred law" (e.g. scriptures of various religions) are deemed to be "equally important in Freemasonry". False. Freemasonry stresses only one book of scripture in its degrees, and even then only allegorically. That book is the King James Bible. It's referred to through quotations to illuminate specific ideas that are not specifically religious (e.g. that a love for all mankind is an important foundational element of civilization). What you're confused about is the idea that the preferred volume of sacred law (e.g. scripture) for the individual is to be used for them during their initiation. That is, it will be displayed for them as a symbolic touchstone of their faith. If that's the NIV Bible or the Bhagavad Gita or the Tao Te Ching, that doesn't affect anyone in the room other than the individual being initiated. Freemasonry has no role in telling you what your faith should be or what text is sacred to you.
Claim 4: Freemasonry requires men to engage in activities which the Bible condemns. False. This arm-waved in the video, but just to be clear Christians of good faith have been Freemasons for hundreds of years, many of them clergy and many of them highly educated in the specifics of Biblical scripture. None of them had any problem reconciling Freemasonry with their faith. Yet, you, an outsider who clearly doesn't understand Freemasonry have decided that it has some sort of requirement that would necessitate behaving in un-Christian ways... I think you might have read too many conspiracy websites.

Freemasonry is devoted to performing rituals and good deeds (acts of worship) carrying out their obligation to a god. They believe in what they are doing, thus implementing a system of faith.

      religion-(n)
an acknowledgement of our obligation to God; devotion; any system of faith and worship
Just looking at the factual information we can see Freemasonry clearly fits the definition of the word ‘religion’.
The entire goal of Freemasonry is to assist the candidate through the ranks of Freemasonry “to obtain admittance into the Celestial Lodge above, where the Supreme architect of the Universe presides” (EA degree)
“to obtain for you the approval of the Grand Architect of the Universe” (FC degree)
“ And when those weary feet shall come to the end of their toilsome journey, and from your nerveless grasp shall drop forever the working tools of life, may the record of your whole life and actions be as pure and spotless as the fair emblem I have placed in your hands tonight. And when at that last great day your poor, trembling soul stands naked and alone before the great white throne, may it be your portion to hear from Him who sitteth as Judge Supreme the welcome words, “Well done, good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of thy Lord”.” (MM degree)
As a former Freemason and now fully devoted follower of Christ I can say without any uncertainty, Freemasonry is very much a religion that teaches all religions are praying to the same god and by obtaining knowledge, being virtuous, and keeping the secrets of the craft the candidate will get into heaven without Jesus.

The Fellow Craft (Second) degree in the Blue Lodge. “The apron of a Mason is intended to remind him of purity of minds and morals…Thus you will wear your apron while laboring among us as a speculative Fellow Craft, to distinguish you from the Entered Apprentices, ever remembering that you are to wear it as an emblem of that purity of heart and conscience that is necessary to obtain for you the approval of the Grand Architect of the Universe.”
The Master Mason (Third) degree in the Blue Lodge. Masons are taught by keeping their apron clean (good deeds) God will give them rewards. The candidate’s apron will be placed on his coffin at his death. Until his death he is to remember this charge. “Let its pure and spotless surface be to you an ever present reminder of purity of life and rectitude of conduct, a never ending argument for nobler deeds, for higher thoughts, for greater achievements. And when those weary feet shall come to the end of their toilsome journey, and from your nerveless grasp shall drop forever the working tools of life, may the record of your whole life and actions be as pure and spotless as the fair emblem I have placed in your hands tonight. And when at that last great day your poor, trembling soul stands naked and alone before the great white throne, may it be your portion to hear from Him who sitteth as Judge Supreme the welcome words, “Well done, good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of thy Lord”.”
The entire goal of Freemasonry is immortality of the soul, to gain admittance into the Celestial Lodge Above, where God is.

When I first met my friend who’s a Freemason, he took me inside the lodge he goes to because he had the keys and it was pretty strange and creepy. I felt like I was being watched or something, even though it was empty. After the tour he told me that I can join if I wanted because women can be Freemasons, except I would be at a different lodge. He wouldn’t tell me what they do, when I asked him. So I said hell no, what’s the point in joining if you can’t tell me what you guys do. I was 20yrs old when that happened, so besides it being creepy I honestly didn’t think much of it, until the years went by he would say some creepy weird stuff about occult practices that he was into. I’m not sure if all Freemasons are like that but I thought it was weird that he would say he’s Christian but would say a lot of rude things about Christian’s and about God. He suffers from a heart condition and he would use that in order to have his way in order for me and my friends to feel bad and get him things. He would tell my friends and I that he’s going to die soon and yet he’s still alive lol I was 21 yrs old when he started telling me and my friends that and I am now 29yrs old and he’s not dead lol I find it silly. he would use the fact that he’s a Freemason against us all the time, some were stupid and went along with it and still do and well I just got tired of him always saying that he’s dying in order to manipulate people because he still does that. He started changing and well life happens and I just stopped talking to him and cut him out of my life. I’m not saying Freemasons manipulate people but well my ex friend who I got to know for 9yrs did and that was my experience with having a friend who’s a Freemason.

😃 ❤️ Amen brother! The Bible is clear on the exclusivity of Jesus Christ as being THE only way to be saved from eternal Hell and the bondage to sin. The Bible states, “This Jesus is the stone rejected by you builders, which has become the cornerstone (of the Saving faith) . There is salvation in No One Else, for there is No Other Name under heaven given to people, and we must be saved by it (that name)”.
    Acts 4:11-12
“How has Jesus Christ proven His rightful claim as Savior of all people?”, you might ask? Because His arrival, His lineage, His ministry, His Resurrection after His murder; all foretold 2000 years before His birth! And Christ fulfilled each prophecy to each detail. 500 nonChristian witnesses attested to His resurrection days and weeks after His burial. That’s how and why Christ holds this unique position as being THE one TRUE God of mankind. I’ve never known of any religious leader in history that ever predicted his death and resurrection… And then actually pulled it off! 😃

There are millions of Freemasons who deeply believe, and are guided by, the Scriptures. Freemasonry does not get involved in each Man's religion, nor does it tell him what to believe, or what his beliefs should be. Our saying is, "We take good men, and make them better." We pledge to lend assistance to our fellow man, regardless of his belief, we pledge to help the needy, we pledge to always "deal on the square" and we hold honesty and integrity of high importance. all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.
For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents

This video is extremely misinformed and inaccurate. As a Christian Freemason, I see no conflict between Christianity and Freemasonry. Freemasonry doesn't have a doctrine of salvation, so I don't know where you got the idea that we are required to believe in salvation by works. Individual Masons are free to hold whatever view they wish on how to be saved. I am free to believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone in the atoning blood of Christ.

@Tslav TV I really do suggest that you actually speak to some Freemasons instead of getting your information from Chick tracts. We don't have "handlers". As Masons we are all regarded as equal.
I am not sure what you mean by "Blasphmet?" If you mean "Baphomet" you should look up Léo Taxil, an admitted 19th-century hoaxer who made up all that rubbish about Freemasons worshipping that idol. It actually had its origins as the alleged idol worshipped by the Knight's Templar and Taxil thought he would make use of it. Most of the nonsense about Freemasons worshipping Lucifer comes from him as well. We worship God at Masonic lodges and no one else.

    • @ukchristian28
      @ukchristian28 2 роки тому +3

@Tslav TV There is a Masonic side-order known as the Order of Knight's Templar and Knights of Malta (I like the look of them and might join them one day) but they have no connection with the historical order. To call them "high ranking" is not accurate because no side order makes someone superior to another in terms of Craft Masonry. As far as Craft Freemasonry goes, the highest degree is the third degree: that of Master Mason. Besides, the historic Templars confessed to belief in Baphomet under torture, so I wouldn't put much stock in that.
A lot of that stuff supposedly from Albert Pike was made up by the hoaxer I referred to and the rest is taken out of context. Which specific statements are you referring to? You should also be made aware that Albert Pike is an obscure figure today (a lot of Masons won't even have heard of him) and he was only ever relevant to the Scottish Rite, which is another Masonic side-order, separate from Craft Masonry. His writings are not considered to be anything other than one man's opinion so to cite him as though he is some kind of binding authority shows a high degree of misunderstanding.

Religious or not, every action has a reaction, that’s a fundamental law of the universe.
One can try to hide in the furthest reaches of the universe or in the deepest depths, actions, good or bad, produce energy, a vibration, that’s like a boomerang that will go back to where it was sent from. When one practices being bad rather than being good, it’s just a matter of time for the consequences to come back to you.
If people think they can get away from the consequences of their actions and avoid repercussions by taking someone’s life, or through torture, imprisonment, paying them off, (to silence them) it’s only temporary, it’s only a matter of time. Sooner or later we will face the consequences of our actions.
We will all have to take responsibility for our own actions.
People who have no conscience and no remorse in doing harm to others will have a hard time finding peace in their lives whether in sleep, in their dreams (or nightmares) or in the paranoia and fear that casts dark shadows across their waking moments.
Where do we go when we dream? is this a hint that we are more than our bodies? That we are an energy that carries on after we die?
Even if they could control their nightmares, is death the end of existence?
What did the Egyptians believe? The Muslim, the Buddhist, the Christians, Jews, Hindus, Jehovah’s Witness etc.?
Let’s look at history, even now, what are the implications of choosing the darkness?
When we choose the darkness over the light we might win a few battles but we can never win the war. When we choose the light we will always win the war.
Religion or no religion lets practice kindness. That’s the only way to have peace within.
By the way the atrocities in the world; famines, war, poverty are all caused by humans and not by the energy that wasn’t created or cannot be destroyed. We all have free will.

If you need a life-saving operation, would you refuse it because the surgeon had taken the Hippocratic oath? I think that's probably enough to prove that the taking of oaths is perfectly fine.
When it comes to the religion a Mason follows, you really do have it all wrong. Badly so.
The FIRST requirement for any man that wishes to join Freemasonry, is to declare that he has, at the centre of his life, a single supreme being, that created the universe. The identity of that being, is left to the individual Freemason. A man joins Freemasonry, with a particular faith, be that Christian, Muslim, Jew, Sikh, etc. and maintains that faith as long as he wishes and no further religious affiliation is ever required. He is NEVER required to take on the beliefs of others. For example, if you get a Christian Mason next to a Jewish Mason at a meeting, the Christian Mason believes in only "God". The Jewish Mason believes in only Yahweh. Both believe that the other Masons deity is false...but does not use that difference to create division. We tolerate the beliefs of others, without necessarily sharing them.

Pike took fifty years to develop and gradually introduce his Luciferian Rite to a select few within the 33rd Degree Supreme Council at Charleston. He also converted the Masonic hierarchy in London, Berlin, and Rome. During the latter half of his work, however, French atheists began to attack spiritism and symbolism within French Lodges. By 1877 French Freemasonry overtly declared what it had covertly taught since 1840- that there is no god but humanity. English Freemasonry, which demands a belief in deity, immediately broke fellowship with the French Grand Orient. Pike, as sovereign Pontiff of Universal Freemasonry, wanted to heal the rift by presenting his Luciferian Doctrine at the July 14, 1889, Supreme Council convention in Paris, France. Unable to travel due to poor health, he instead explicated the doctrine in a letter to be read on the convention floor. Afterward the letter was published by A. C. De La Rive in LaFemme et t'Enfant dans la Franc-Maconnerie Universelle. The Freemason, a Masonic periodical in England, noted the reading of the letter in its January 19, 1935, issue. Count de Poncins quotes portions of the letter in Freemasonry and the Vatican. The most comprehensive quote, however, comes to us from Edith Miller in Occult Theocrasy. Following is Albert Pike's 1889 concept of how Lucifer should be presented to high degree Masons, while keeping the lower degree initiates and the general public ignorant.

@@masonictruth While teaching his beliefs to a select few in the Supreme Council, Pike became the most powerful Mason in the world. Although an obscure general in the Confederate Army during the American Civil War, he was hardly inconspicuous in Freemasonry. From 1859 until his death in 1891, Pike occupied simultaneously the positions of Grand Master of the Central Directory at Washington, D.C., Grand Commander of the Supreme Council at Charleston, S.C., and Sovereign Pontiff of Universal Freemasonry. He was an honorary member of almost every Supreme Council in the Albert Pike world, personally receiving 130 Masonic degrees.
Pike also was one of the most physically and morally repulsive individuals in American history. Weighing well over three hundred pounds, his sexual proclivity was to sit naked astride a phallic throne in the woods, accompanied by a gang of prostitutes. To these orgies he would bring one or more wagon loads of food and liquor, most of which he would consume over a period of two days until he passed into a stupor.
In his adopted state of Arkansas, Pike was well known as a practitioner of Satanism. Portraits in his later years show him wearing a symbol of the Baphomet around his neck. Pike, however, did not believe the Baphomet was Satan. In Morals and Dogma he explains that this symbol was misunderstood by those who were not adepts; that it was “𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦, 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 [𝘵𝘰𝘰] 𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘸.” Pike, a gifted polyglot who mastered sixteen ancient languages, discovered that the Baphomet was originally a symbol of Lucifer, the hermaphrodite god of pagans. He found in paganism no adversary known as Satan. Satan was mentioned only in the Bible, and according to Pike, was a fabrication of Christians. “𝘛𝘩𝘶𝘴,” writes Pike, “𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘮 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘺; 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘤 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘧 𝘪𝘯 𝘓𝘶𝘤𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘳....”
In 1843, while Pike was developing his Luciferian doctrine for Freemasonry, two other Masons were attempting to penetrate the inner shrines of the Fraternity with the doctrine of Satanism. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882), the famous American poet, and Moses Holbrook (d. 1844), the Sovereign Grand Commander of the Supreme Council at Charleston, S.C., had both studied thoroughly the occult sciences. Although they enjoyed discussing with Pike the mysteries of the Cabala, these two Satanists were unable to convert General Pike to the cabalistic view of Satan, which teaches two basic doctrines: (1) the Adversary was once Lucifer; and (2) Satan is a power to be used for either good or evil.

I think you are missing the point of Freemasonry. Freemasonry is simply a moral code encoded in construction allegory. It is not a path to salvation, it is not a dogma, Freemasonry is simply a very complex puzzle, with God's own fingerprints on it, revealing in allegory to people how the mathematics, sciences, tools, techniques, and philosophy in constructing a building directly correlate to our development as individuals. At a higher level, that personal development is our journey home to God, and that journey is our individual building of bridges between us and God, so that we may someday understand God to the point where the love between us is truly pure. It doesn't matter if you are a Christian, Muslim, Jew, Zoroastrian, Taoist, or you if you believe that God is a 6ft tall taco that craps ice cream. Masonry doesn't try to stand in the way between people and the God(s) they believe in, or their religious believe. Politics and religion are forbidden within the walls of the lodge, because they create conflict, and that conflict destroys brotherly love. Masonry doesn't impose any doctrine over a person's religious beliefs, because every single Honorable Master completely understands that they have NO RIGHT to stand between God and another one of His children, just as an older sibling has no right to stand between you and your parents. That's part of the honor code.
I encourage every Christian to study Freemasonry, masonry is simply a tool. You don't even need to join a lodge, just start mastering a trade, in constant prayer with God in your mind's eye. In every thought in your mind, you are speaking directly to what you believe to be the Sovereign Creator Of The Universe, the Author Of Your Existence. Carpentry, iron-worker, sheet-rocker, roofer, whatever you are interested in mastering. As you master that trade, improve yourself, and focus on what you are building in your life, observe what lessons you learn from your failures. As you are in constant dialogue with God in your mind as you build, look back at all the tools and symbols of Freemasonry, and how they have another level of philosophical meaning now. It's like an onion, there are many layers, but it's part of a process that God can use to correct deep faults in your character. In my Initiation as King Of The North for the Free & Accepted Masons, God broke me off like a little punk, and showed me how that when I am in circumstances I am not happy with, I can become a real asshole. The way God did it was the most intimate moment with God I've had in life here on Earth. That's real love. God is love.
Your God couldn't tell friend from foe at Passover and needed a visual aid so He didn't accidentally have the wrong kids snuffed out, and your God had no idea what was happening in Sodom and Gomorrah or if what people saying their was true so your God had to physically travel down there to investigate (which, by the way, is direct evidence your God is NOT omniscient, omnipresent, or omnipotent) , and your God commanded the slaughter of innocent Amalekite children instead of acting morally and sparing them that trauma. But your God couldn't cause them to die peacefully in their sleep the night before the attack, or teleport them to safety, because your God isn't omniscient or omnipresent or omnipotent. But I'm not going to get in the way of my God, The Grand Architect Of The Universe (who actually is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent) from getting you home on the path that only God knows is the way. I'm not so arrogant and grandiose that I would command others to follow my path and my beliefs, and try to put myself between God and another person. Would you agree that I would be an absolute scumbag if I acted that dishonorably, and I just spit right in God's face by trying to impose my personal religious beliefs on others as if my magical interpretation and adjudication of a narrow window of evidence somehow endows me with the magical authority to set the path of your life instead of God. That conduct is devoid of love, and that is why we are separated from God, and why God must correct it so we can go home - in ALL OF US.
Can a Christian really be a Freemason, then?

A follower of Christ? Well, the majority of Masons are too. But it's important to know, that Freemasonry is not a religion, but a fraternity. And because it is not a religion, we have members of all the worlds faiths among us. Every member follows the same faith he followed before he was a Mason. There's no reason to change anything when he joins or take on any further beliefs.
God loves us? Of course he does. One aspect of Freemasonry is take responsibility for our own actions and admit our failings, knowing that if we are truly sorry for our transgressions, we will be forgiven.
So, go right ahead and ask me anything you like.

Jahbulon is a made up word, with absolutely no basis in truth whatsoever. It's often put about by conspiracy theorists to tell lies about us. To prove it, just get your Third Degree under your belt and then join the York Rite and/or the Scottish Rite for that matter. You will then see for yourself that there is no such thing as "Jahbulon".
Nowhere in Craft Freemasonry (commonly called the Blue Lodge) does it state that you need to have a particular faith, you just must have a faith in a deity that created the universe.
However, beyond Craft Masonry, there are some Appendant Orders that REQUIRE a believe in the Trinity of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost of the Christian faith, though, so you're good to go, if you wanted to join those. But by no means do you need to go beyond the Blue Lodge if you do not wish to.
      I hope this helps.

Yes, there was a papal bull issued many years ago (in ignorance!) however, Pope John Paul II revisited many of the issued bulls and changed and altered some of them, as was his right.
The Bull issued many years ago, specifically named Freemasonry as a group of which Roman Catholics may not be a member. The alteration made by JP II, changed the wording to "those that plot against the Church". The effect of this is to remove the blanket ban on Catholics from being Freemasons. The onus is on the INDIVIDUAL to decide for himself, if the group of which he is a member, is plotting against the church. If he believes in his heart that this group or society does NOT plot against the church, he's good to go.

Yet, if we humble ourselves turn from our wicked ways and come before His feet, He will receive us and forgive us our sins and give us a new heart with new desires. The first question MUST be "do you have a belief in a supreme being" and if further development is required, which it is from time to time, the supreme being must be responsible for the creation of the universe. They seem restrictive and only like to study the knowledge from a psychological perspective never involving their soul into it, it was like if they were all dead inside and without joy, for me that it isn't the path, if a freemason thinks im wrong i would love to hear them, maybe it was just that men.

Every religion just have there own way of showing there love to God.
