I am sorry to say but one of my first jobs as a 14 year old line boy in 1957, and anything else that needed to be done washing airplanes patching holes in the fabric gassing airplanes and taxing them out and parking them along the highway for advertisement up to 13 of them,,,,was to cut the wings off of a Cessna T50 Bobcat and haul them to the city dump next to the airport. The fuselage was used to cut out tubing to repair other airplanes. The other Bobcat was sold and ferried away. The Bobcat was bad about the wing roots rotting from years sitting outside. The Bobcat was my favorite airplane and Shy King my favorite TV show.
I flew with Dusty Burrows in his T50 out of New Tamiami Airport in the 1960's. The last time I saw it it was in bad need of new fabric. Those were the good ole days.
Oooch! Ouch! Ahhh! LOL but it's down in one piece and that's what counts in the end! BTW, the real world Bobcat was notorious for pulling to the left on T/O. Needed lots of R-rudder, at least 10% more L-throttle than the right, and even some rudder and aileron trimming to keep it pointed toward the wind. I don't know if this RC had that 'left-twist' issue on the first T/O attempt for the same reasons as the real world one did or if the wind was the major player on that field. Either way, the plane acted like it should have and it looks great! Great job! Rich
Please say "rc" or "scale" in the title. This is not a T-50, it's a scale replica of one. And foam windscreens for your microphone are $10-- small price for making your video worth listening to.
Wow does that baby sound great. Beautiful model 50 Cessna!! Boy, that's one strong gear mount!!!
Never flown a twin but the test pilot made it look easy.
