In love with the redesign of this bike for the 100th anniversary! A refresh of the RnineT is welcome and the addition of the R12 cruiser with a bit lower ride height is definitely cool and exciting compliment to the R18 line. So, the BMW R12 is my dream bike. When I saw it (online) I was like dammit! I’m sold! The height is PERFECT! I’m 1.51m tall (4’11) and the thought of me not having to do anything like a lowered seat is insane. That, and the fact that the technology is just better than the other similar type of bikes out there. Can’t wait till it comes to SA!
The NineT was always a dream bike of mine. Went through sportbikes, bobbers and cruisers, the NineT was my perfect solution for something in between. It performs more than enough for my needs, the boxer motor looks and sounds unique. The design is classic yet aggressive with the cylinders sticking out, everything feels made with care and quality, it's not too big, not too cluttered, I can't stop looking at it and every detail feels thought out, everything is in its place. However, this new model feels softer, more classic, not as sporty. Either the tank has too much of a slope or the seat is too low, the placement of the air box under the seat covers too much making it look heavy and bulky. The snorkel on the previous model gives it more muscle and less symmetry which adds charm and a sense of power, it makes the bike look more beefy, more intimidating as if it's built around the engine and not vice versa. This one looks like the Honda cb 1000 clasic or a Triumph Thruxton, it's not a unique bike anymore. People say the new one has improved because it looks less busy in the engine/transmission bay, the rear shock is not showing as much, but to me it looks less raw and less mechanical. Sadly, I feel no reason to upgrade, but that's just my taste and admiration for the first version. The r12 speaks nothing to my heart at all, but I'm sure there's a market for it.

I used to look at a brochure for months and always buy something, and I still have the old brochures at home and of course for motorcycles
Man I loved my r nine t. Best bike ever, but the snorkel on one side really bothered me because it made the tank asymmetrical even if you deleted the snorkel. So I love the direction the new r nine t is going. But I HATE that the tank looks too short, exposing all that wiring upfront that a longer tank would cover. And it has a lower fuel quantity? I don’t mind the shape of the tank, but man what’s with that big gap between the tank and the forks? I can’t stand seeing all that wiring. That’s my only gripe. Also would like an option for a halogen headlight, but that’s not as much of a big deal.

The only question is what will BMW’s engineers come up with next?😁🤍💙
Hope the shift assist pro will work on my 21 roadster
Boah!
Isn't it R12 ninet and R12 scrambler?
No, it is not
Hmm, not sure until I see them in the flesh, but why use a Royal Enfield Bullet rear mudguard on the R12?
Classic loved it!, but the name of the song?
In other videos you can see a concept model of a other 'cruiser' r12. Is that bike really in development or are the R12 & nine-t you show in this video the only bikes?
Hey there! Which video are you referring to? The R 12 and R 12 nineT are the only new models in the R 12 family currently. As you will understand we cannot make any statements about potential future bikes. However, we will keep you updated on all of our channels! 😉
@@bmwmotorrad im referring to videos like: ua-cam.com/video/f-WZRqZTrfE/v-deo.htmlsi=8E4Wq-hdC1UpQ863
It's no official channel but the concept shown looks great👍🏻
Great Rotterdam promotion😊
너무 멋지네요!!
Will there be a 2024 Scrambler version?
Thank you for your interest and commitment to BMW Motorrad. Please understand that we cannot make any statements about possible models. However, you are more then welcome to schedule a test ride with the new new BMW R 12 nineT and the BMW R 12 at your dealer. 😉 You can find him via this link: www.bmw-motorrad.com/dealer. We wish you a lot of fun! 🙌
Can someone englighten me, where does this bike class placed?
Does it means r12 9t superior model then r9t? Since r9t cc is almost 1200cc.The design is almost identical.
Hey there! The R 12 nineT is the successor of the original R nineT. It is a classic roadster that comes with 1170 ccm. The R 12 completes the family as a classic cruiser. 🙂
Feels like apple keynote
Still NO FUEL GAUGE on the analog speedometer ??? Everyone complaints about it.
Hi Ignacio,
The round instruments, coming as standard with the R 12 nineT, do not include a fuel gauge but a fuel warning. However, the menu of the optional digital display available for both, the BMW R 12 nineT and the R 12, shows several information relevant to the rider: The menu roll involves the average consumption and a fuel warning, if necessary. In that case, also the rest mileage will be shown.
You may find more information on our website: www.bmw-motorrad.com/12-ninet, www.bmw-motorrad.com/r12. 🙂
Kind regards,
Your BMW Motorrad Team
@@bmwmotorrad thanks for the answer but there are competitors that have analog speedometer and tacometer with a fuel gauge (Like Royal Enfield). I don´t know why you can´t include that. I already saw your digital display and it feels weird on a "vintage" look bike. Honestly, it´s a dissapointment.
Hopefully this time there will be a paper brochure for these machines, I still have a nice one in A3 format from the Cruiser R1200 C, otherwise BMW will have to be ashamed of themselves!!!! and we will believe that you have saved on the technology again.....
Hello, for reasons of sustainability we have decided not to offer a paper brochure for these machines. But as always, you can find all the information on our website. 🙂
If you would like to take a look at the service manual, you can download it and print it out yourself: www.bmwmotorcycles.com/en/service/manuals/rider-manual.html
That's saving in the wrong place and an excuse, you often hear it from the salesperson as if it's memorized :-))) terrible, that's why I don't buy BMW jackets and pants anymore because I don't see them in brochures anymore. I used to look at a brochure for months and always buy something, and I still have the old brochures at home and of course for motorcycles
Will we have a nineT with quick shifter?
Less than 30 minutes until you can check out the two brand-new models! 😉🔥
Please build a faired version. R12S perhaps? ❤
hopefully it will have a better ride position for long distances and light offroad! 🤔
It doesn’t look like .. from the video the drivers are leaning forward a bit ..
Finally normal sitting position!
For a relaxed riding experience in every situation! 😍
Passenger seat options?
Hey there! Thank you for your feedback which we really appreciate. 😊 We can only recommend to check out the bike live once it is available in spring 2024 at your local dealer. Maybe it will convince you once you have done a test ride. 😉 You will find a dealer nearby on our website: www.bmw-motorrad.com/dealer. Besides, we would like to mention that of course, the BMW R 12 nineT and BMW R 12 are also made for customization. Perhaps, some of your concerns might be customizable as well. 🙌
Perhaps a "heritage" model with more than 110hp
Let's see if your guess is right! 😉
Nope, New ninet does Not have more hp
@@bmwmotorrad Wasn't a guess it was a hope. I have a 2017 RnineT that is fairly modified and enjoy just wish it had more go.
I want side by side comparisons with the RnineT. New urban GS coming? These new ones look very small, I look big on my bike, wish you'd make bikes bigger and not just smaller
Hey there 👋 As you may understand, we cannot give you any information regarding future bikes. But we will keep you up to date on all our channels! Regarding the size, we recommend you to try out the bikes yourself once they are available at your local dealer in spring 2024: www.bmw-motorrad.com/dealer. 🙂🙌
Holy! 🔥
Serious engineering meets wacky marketing = BMW Motorrad🤷🏼♂️
Hopefully the BMW G650X Models will be revived with modern technologies. A 650ccm motor with 60-65HP and around 60nm of torque
Ohh 🥺🥺🥺 Finally 🎉❤
We are already very excited! What about you? 🤩
@@bmwmotorrad The world is excited !! 💘

Fuel gauge?
I see only brand channel replying to all comments, though anyone on other side . Love from INDIA , This is Password to many of my access , I wish to own one soon.
Not a guess - more a serious wish! Please produce a r nine t with real offroad potential. 21 inch front wheel, 18 Inch rear wheel and so on. Or an urban GS "facelift" to show it's real origin!
a regression in design
Looks like the twin pipe of the R12ninet?
What jacket does the main presenter have on? Thanks.
Hello, thank you for your inquiry about the jacket! The “Schwabing Jacket” is currently only available in green. To check out more options and perhaps find the color you want, we recommend taking a look at our website. There you will find our entire range of motorcycle clothing, including various jacket models: www.bmw-motorrad.com/apparel-finder
Very Nice .... ;-D
The R 12 looks nice. Please develop it into a new (R 12) CLC. I miss my R 1200 CLC. (Or please develop an F 900 LT.)
Stupende !
The cruiser has smaller fuel tank than the other one, what?
