    Hi Nic. Great video as usual. Thank you guys so much. I crashed with ocd horribly around my 23rd birthday and its been quite a year. Im 24 now and I can honestly say I've progressed in light years from where I was last year and continue to & this channel has been greatly instrumental in that. Thank you💓.

    Hey Nick! So I'm still a bit confused about how to dispute my OCD fears
    Like for instance I have a hyperawareness of my breathing,my heartbeat,tinnitus, salivating and swallowing, consciousness, hyperawareness of thoughts etc etc
    So shall I dispute each one of them like it would be really unfortunate to notice my breathing for the rest of my life,but it won't be 100% terrible,I can still go with it and do basically everything I want to and than the same thing said again for my heartbeat hyperawareness and it goes on forever
    Wouldn't it take too long to dispute them all one by one?

      Hey Skew. Excellent question! So in short no, I made this mistake a lot. The general core fear is "Being stuck hyperaware of ANYTHING forever is horrible". This way it encompasses the entire spectrum of hyperawareness. It's always trying to keep us in the loop of, "This ones different".

      Hwy Gaming - so I would first start with breaking down the belief you're holding around panic attacks/ sensations. The fear of experiencing them and why they're not as horrible as you'd imagine.

      @@aguywhohikes1271 i am not afraid of panic attak but i am afraid of what if ghost caught me like shown in movies i will behave like ghost i will die and what if due to this fears my body will start showing ocd symptoms or any physical problems

    There should be no suffering in the world. If there is , then such a world should not exist. Can someone help me , dispute this irrational belief of mine? Like break it down for me like , Albert Ellis has described in the book.

      @aguywhohikes1271 Рік тому

      Hey ramya - so what you’ll want to do is truly ask yourself “why shouldn’t suffering exist? Because it obviously does!” Then we move with the key principle that acceptance doesn’t mean agreement. Look at all the good that can come from learning lessons applied from
      Suffering, that’s key too!
