He probably enjoys it on personal level, it feels cool to him I guess. Kind of like roleplaying racing drivers etc. If I did it with mine 320d it would be for that reason. He is neither driving that fast or dangerous or such car to need them. But thats a plus in my book, so dude has besides the car another level of being happy and in mood when driving niiiice :)
