I know next to nothing about indie anything. I'm 62. Yet on every discernible aesthetic level, this band is absolutely thrilling. And originall. I send their tunes to my daughters at the university, begging them to listen.
Wisner William don't bother they're probably all listening to hip hop and crap
@@hisnamewasSam ? they'll probably like it
@@hisnamewasSam god please shut up acting like other music is superior you don't have to like it but you don't need to be a prick, people are allowed to like what they want and kids will like what's popular in their time
@Chris Greene I am a huge music fan who loves hip hop. Stop being close minded,
Hip hop sucks. And so does this band, with their annoying mix of punk rock and kindergarden music, dressed in their freaking pajamas. Their only authentic song is "In Undertow", all the rest feels very artificial. Not even the lead singer's beauty saves it anymore, look at that puffy face, she's aging fast.
That part at 1:36 when she drives that guitar and sings "who ran from Roman candles..." gets me every time. I love it! This song is tops!
Jeremy Timm YES
spot on! such a paramount characteristic and part of the song!
yes!!!
Her song writing reminds me of Morrissey so much and theres obvious nods to them in other songs but this was the first one that got me.
This is my lockdown song.
I just found them a few months back.. ALVVAYS has such a great sound.. Their music is so consistently good.. I'm expecting them to blow up any day now..
She sounds soooo good live!
I just discovered this song a month ago and I can’t stop listening to this
I love Molly's voice!
Who knew my childhood fashion would be a trend of cool indie bands?
What decade is that?
90s.
I literally am in love with this girl
Love this version
I've loved this song since I first heard it.
Great vocals and performance!
Dude's a really good bassist.
Yah hes solid
Guitar intro in this live version sounds way better than studio record.
I like this far better than the recorded version.
love this sm
Love their big sound! And as usual, great job KEXP
awesome
This is just ridiculously good and I love it so much 😢❤
Sheridan on drums is such a awesome addition to this amazing band
Awesome
sweet!!
The techs at KEXP are so good.
Amazing song. The guitar work is also pretty good.
Love you Molly!
Amazing composition and structure.
Great performance. A new band to add to my daily play list and to follow their journey.
Dreamy ✨✨🌜🌜🌜
That bass looks like it's been relic'd with a chisel, and the guitarist's wearing serial killer glasses, but damn that chorus is catchy
Haha, by that definition every other 4-eyed guy in the early eighties would've been a serial killer ; )
Don't know if it was made on purpose, but the Musicmaster Bass is no longer manufactured by Fender, so that's an old bass ('71 to '81)
The chorus is super catchy and really sad at the same time.
That's a 77 or 78 Musicmaster bass, the poly laquer they used in that era is known to crack and chip due to UV light.
@@Clomry he used to work at a classic gutair store, and he picked that beauty up there!
I love this song so fkin much!!!! See them live now!!!!!!😍😍😍🥰😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳Canada love y’all
🔥🔥
I love the way you sing and get into it Molly. I do the same thang. Nice to see you smiling
Don't ever ask her to smile.
Well done like usual! I'd love to see you have Fog Lake make on appearance on the show! Would really fit in with that Seattle vibe.
Amo está canción, Alvvays me encanta cada día más, gracias por esto. 🌻❤️
The drummer (Sheridan Riley) kind of reminds me of Victoria Legrand lol. Great performance!
cant unsee it now !!!
I'm the punk with the stutter.
Truly anthemic.
Molly Rankin - Michelle Williams the same person?
They didn't do the fucking nostalgic keyboard outro for this!!! the fuk

Buen performance en vivo, no desentona, muy buena banda.
The keyboardist looks like Tina from BOB'S BURGERS.
Rudie Obias I did go to comic con as Sektor and had my picture taken with Louise.

Hey I know you're there ANDREW
I wonder if this was inspired by Sparks at all
I love the Smiths too
The Primatives song crash is good too
Echo Beach by Martha and the Muffins is a good one too
Short haired molly Rankin is freakin hot for me.
