Trackside 137 - The Real Polar Express HQ

Still lettered for the movie in which it starred (partially), Pere Marquette 1225 is presented here during an excursion from Owosso to Cadillac, Michigan in 2005. The big 2-8-4 is a classic example of a Lima Locomotive Works Super Power steam locomotive.

Funny seeing 1225 as the polar express.
Reason for this was in 2005 after the winter of 2004 (when the letters were aplied for the polar express excursions) the steam railroading institute was prod to show the polar express on the excursions they ran.

I love 1225!! Great looking locomotive!! Yano these videos dont show off the true size and power of these things. Its when you see them up close and for real that you get a true sense of the size and power these Berks have!
