Who else used to buy these cars from the model shop as a kid, build them up and then race them in a straight line? And wondered if there was a better purpose for them?
I remember when i was a kid, i wanted to buy one but my parents said that i couldn't build it... so i saved some money and buy one of the car on my own without my parent's knowledge. And i build it okay, turns out my firends have them too... so i raced mine with theirs and had alot of fun. That car is still here with broken and lost bits and parts...
that's standard tamiya Automic Tune. Only around 20000 RPM. It seems to be super fast due to the design and correct modification. The Most interesting part of Tamiya is "You can use the very slow motor to reach the maximum limitation of the speed"
Holy shit, I thought people were trying to start up the event, turns out it was already racing in progress, I just can't see any tamiya racing in it, but I hear the noises colliding to the track walls, I never knew it was this fast, they should've added some lights that gives different colors to distinguish which racer were they at

in mini4wd, it's not about control, but it's more about the technique on how to make your car not only fast, but also stable. depends on the type of race and circuit layout, there is never one solution (1 setup) that always work for everything. there are many things to be tweaked in a mini4wd car to make it faster and more stable while still comply according to Tamiya standard official rules: - motor (some race have limitation on what motor can be used, and also - all Tamiya motor only, no custom wind or 3rd party) - chassis (balance between rigidity and weight - different type of chassis may have different result depending on how you mod, or what type of circuit you're running) - wheel and tire selection (larger is not always better, slicks are not always better than super hard, and vice versa) - gear setup - roller setup Since you cannot control a mini4wd, the car relies on rollers to roll inside the track.And when you have circuits with slopes and jumps, you'll need adjustment on brakes (to reduce speed at slopes/lane changers) and dampers (to assist jump landings). There are so many variables need to be considered, since you're not controlling the car when it's racing.
+Faren Sabri you know some things wrong when your tamiya decides that its an airplane and not a race car. That's what happened to mine. It's a good thing that the chassis did not break.

You cannot even give throttle nor brake with these cars. The fun is all in tuning the cars and watching them go.
