Solitary Confinement and Croquet I guess I just like watching how people solving "trust issue" problem (aka heart games, which is why I feel like King of Hearts game seems so lame compared to the other two heart games)
These two seasons of this series were great. Chishiya obviously coming out of s2 as one of the best actors of this series. Last episode was a rollercoaster of emotions. Ultimately the tie of favorite game is either tag from S1 or Jack of Hearts. Bravo Netflix, this is one of the best manga adaptations they’ve made.
@@BrainPilotidk that he was the best actor , although he was good but he certainly was the best and most intresting character in Alice. Just my opinion because i though most of the cast was really good.

Kudos to all of the people behind this flawless series, especially, to Mr. Haro Aso (Manga Writer/Artist) and to Mr. Shinsuke Sato (Director) I really enjoyed my christmas break because of this. ❤️❤️❤️ I can say that this is the best series on Netflix🤩
So true. What an adaptation man, great. Never expected such a good live action adaptation of a manga. I had imagined an anime for this, which exists BTW, but only has 3 episodes.
It was interesting to see how Netflix managed to insert Chishiya's brilliance into the Solidary Confinement game, considering that in the original manga, only Banda and Yaba defeated the Jack of Hearts.
@@byAshh OK. He had a 50/50 chance between the diamond and spade (based on Enji I believe) correct? So when did he figure that his collar wasn't a heart or club? I think I watched the episode so fast 😆.
My favorite games from Alice and Borderland Season 2 are Solitary Confinement and Beauty Contest. Mainly because both these games had Chishiya in it, and he definitely grew on me while becoming my favorite character in the series. Solitary Confinement looks like a game that many people would be interested in playing because you would have to use your knowledge and psychology skills to know who the traitor is as well as who is lying and who's telling the truth especially when making allies which was hard for Chishiya. Also, the Beauty Contest game that was held at the Supreme Court had a lot of math in it, which I enjoyed.

They didn't show Queen of Diamonds game. But they show the game has been cleared (the plane burns) when Arisu tries to find Usagi after they get separated, before they finally reunite in Queen of Spades game.
The fight scene in episode was a one of the best fights I've seen in a while. It reminds me when all the women decided to jump stormfront in the boys, only that this time King of Spades was looping their asses.. It got so crazy, from cheering the fight and once they started getting shot and stabbed, got so emotional thinking they were all dead, and finally got relieved again that they didnt die. Was so unpredictable...
Genius series - with deep meaning and without the money nonsense of the Squid Games. For anyone who has studied motivation, it is clear that money is not the strongest motivating factor and people are not ready for money at all costs. That is why the Japanese film is much more logical!

The season 2 is actually more on the "boss" than the games itself. Those game on season 2, in actually fact, don't really give a lot of advantage to the face card bosses, and somehow disadvantage. Like the Solidary Confinement, Jack of heart is 1 vs 20, what's the chance? if he have a strong bonding group like the Arisu team all playing the game, how can he wins?
True! It was all about trust and human nature. How something so simple can become so difficult when you’re putting everything in the hands of somebody you don’t know
I agree with you, in here jack of hearts is kinda in disadvantage. cmiiw, but in manga the jack of heart actually has more advantages. He has a secret tool which can show him symbol on his collar, so he doesn't really need partner after all. And he is also a master of hypnotize, so kotoko (the last woman in the game) in fact is not cooperating with him but she got hypnotized and being commanded to give wrong answer for her partner. In netflix adaptation, i think they just not show these details or they change the story a bit by adding a "no-cheating" rule in this game for fairness and making kotoko cooperate with jack of heart (i dunno the reason why tho, i think i miss the detail, maybe she is also a citizen (?))
For Checkmate, since they tell you there's 16 rounds and then you find out the Queen team goes first, then you would know the Challenger team goes last. Why not just all stay in one place with the Challenger King and makes sure he doesn't die. Everyone gives up and gets shocked once to switch to Queen's team and remain on the Queen's team while still defending the Challenger King, probably get punched a lot, but it saves a lot of tiresome running around. Everyone just waits for the last round where the Challenger King goes around and presses everyone's buttons back to Challenger Team. Does this play work? Am I missing a rule here?
I was thinking exactly this and was surprised that someone as smart as Arisu didn't think of it. I mean.. they could've played the game however, but there was no need for Usagi to emotionally drag them back on their side, they basically had a win in their pockets right from the start.

Forget all that, did anybody listen to that lady when she start breaking down what technology is doing each couple years. This isn’t just her talking this is facts!! People better learn it’s some shit out here we better be prepared for
You forgot the game that kuina was in, what seemed like, a battle royal (Jack of Spades i believe). And then there was the mahjong game as well, but I forgot the card value. Amazing video and beauty contest was my favorite
8:05 These were the best in terms of what they meant for the show and characters. I would have loved to see that game with the maze and the monster though... could have been crazy.
Beauty Contest and Osmosis were my favourite. Chishiya deserved 2 of his own games- so I did also like the Jack of Spades one with him. Such a cunning, well thought out character, with a rationale behind his shady demeanour. Not traitorous by nature, but some of the caveats human emotion can bring which he had to learn very fast. He was so used to delivering bad news to his patients as a medical student that he had to emotionally distance himself from it. The value of a human life. Insisting to his boss/medical consultant that he'll park it. Also ironic that though he never posed questions to his boss except the one which was how to break the bad news that his patient was not going to receive the surgery that was promised to him. The boss declaring it was not his fault. Chishiya changes immensely after that memory recollection. I knew he wasn't as shady as what he was remembered for and why there was a reason he didn't trust people. Betrayal trauma and that life isn't as fair as it claims to be. When he kept asking Kuzuryu why bother striving for equality, there was a common pain it seemed in the end. Only when Chishiya let his guard down he got shot for it by Niragi. Though he doesn't regret it when he confides in Arisu something he hadn't confided in with anyone before. Even accepting his wounded fate and choosing to leave the borderland when Arisu clears the game. Even before so, he was at peace with his decision to return to his ideals. Or at least the ideals that were akin to Arisu which he once thought were weak, were in fact what, something he envied.
Season 3 is a must, because Joker card, is the true mastermind of the Game/World/Purgatory what ever you want to call it. Joker in manga appears at the very end and is important. Problem is with season 3 is that he has to be very short, more like special or make up new games, that aren't in the manga, like they did with episode 1 season 1.
@@turnermarius4471 They can make season 3 based on 15 chapters of a spin off "Alice in Borderland: Retry", where Alice returns to Borderland with 5 other people to play the card nine of hearts, which is also worth reading, but it would propably only take 2 episodes or maybe even 1 if they made it 1h 30 minutes.
I didnt like the king of spades game purely for the fact that it didnt really have rules. It felt very un-alice in borderland if that makes sense. I think it would be better if there was some twist, like if the king of spades couldnt shoot somebody if they were standing still. Idk just an idea, but the rest of the games were pretty great!
For the queen of spade game, couldnt the challenger team just all get caught on purpose before 16 rounds end so no one dies (cuz all of them in the same team)? How did no one think of that?
I just binge-watched this series. I got confused in S2E6, although it made me laughed at the same time, after Usagi & Arisu won the "Checkmate" game, they left the premises together but did NOT bring the 10-yr old boy with them. I'm curious as to why they left the boy behind with strangers? Because, as far as I was aware, they didn't even provide any explanations nor properly gave their goodbyes to the boy, esp after all the promises that Usagi made about protecting him & staying by his side, by never leaving him. So between them & the boy, did I miss something, shortly before they left him?
Actually all the games were revealed but not all were shown how it was played. There was a Jack of Spades game where Kuina fought in an arena of other men, there was also a Jack of Diamonds game where they were playing mahjong, and there was a Queen of Diamonds game but it wasn't really shown how it was played but it was probably an easy game since a lot of people survived it
If people are asking will there be a season 3 when they just released season 2 and I even finished the season in one night watching all 8 episodes along with many others ! That should tell you something ….even if it doesn’t be another season please put these characters in similar shows or movies together or separate would love to to see that also! Y’all are killing it ! 🔥
I know everyone is saying that Season 2 will be the end and should be the end according to the manga but idgaf, make something up and push out some more seasons! This show is absolutely phenomenal and I want to see more! 🙏🏽
6:10 this was also unexplained because for two rounds we have had 0 +100 so we would have had 50*0.8 =>40 that was much more close to 0 than 100 and yet the winner was 100. I think something was missed in translation
There won't be any season 3 cuz the manga ends just with the Joker card, like the show. The Jack of Hearts game didn't have Chishiya in the manga, wasn't required in the show according to me. King of Clubs and King of Diamonds were my favorite games. I hope they don't make a season 3 and ruin the show.
Wish this would get the recognition it deserves. Definitely deserves more hype than what Squid Game got and I’m sad it didn’t get to number one on Netflix like the Korean show did.
The Q♠️ game didn't really make sense to me since the challenger team could've just let themselves get captured and in the final round just willingly betray the Q♠️ by getting captured back to their original team and win. It doesn't really fit the nature of ♠️ games it's more like a ♣️ since in the end, its just a game of whether you're going to betray your own team and win with the Q♠️. The Q♣️ on the other hand was more like a ♠️ game since it's a game that only requires 2 players for each team and they try to sirvive by not falling on narrow beams while dodging balls. Doesn't really require teamwork, unless there's a rule where 1 person falls the partner is also eliminated. Dodgeball is also a physical game so the two Q games in the black cards should've been interchanged and it would have made sense.
my thinking was that a group of "extras cast" cleared this game, there does seem to be a large number of them. some of whom are seen in the final king of spades game and it also seems the group at the film RV only died shortly before arisu and usagi arrive there, the filmer dying shortly after telling them to watch the film and the film showing the king of spades whiping the people there out. the film did make me interested to know what the lady in the car remembered.

"Checkmate was an interesting game" Gotta disagree, that was one of the worst games and on top of that it drags on way too long. AiB is my absolute favorite show but I always dread Checkmate. On the plus side Beauty Contest is what saved that episode.

@@BrainPilot those mid episodes and ending was taking forever!!! Just the ending alone and the conversation with the Boss Lady was dragging. I was hoping for Netflix to have a 1.5 speed or 2.0 speed
Imo it is the most genius one, not the game but the gm herself 1. It goes back to the OG Alice in Wonderland where Alice played croquet with the Queen of Hearts 2. In the game the Queen of Hearts gave out a lot of endings that are extremely overused in these types of stories. And well, this doesn't use those as the true ending 3. The rules are simple yet you can lose in an instant (where if Arisu killed the GM) 4. Even if GM is not killed, she can just extend the game time to infinite if Usagi is not interfering, leaving everyone to die out due to King of Spades or Visa ending 5. Before she dies her last words resembles the ending of the Joker card

This movie made me realize something about my depressing life.
What?
8:05 These were the best in terms of what they meant for the show and characters. I would have loved to see that game with the maze and the monster though... could have been crazy.
Thanks for the explanations!
Glad it was helpful!
It looks like each game almost require a sacrifice too season 3 hopefully it’s coming
Very true! I hope Season 3 is coming too!
@Zero Play99 True, but there was no game in manga for the Joker card, so Netflix or the writers would have to come up with something new.
I hope season 3 ...doesn't come. Story wrapped up nicely. Japanese tend to not drag on a series even when it's popular.
How did no one think of that?
the kid, who was chosen to be the captain, can't change teams
i HAVE to read this! i love this series so much. where is the best place to order the manga set?
This show is awesome 🔥
Most definitely is!
I still don't understand the beauty contest game
You forgot the game where Kuina is fighting off all those guys and gets a few cuts to her body i wonder what that game was.
Yea I really didn’t understand that number game 😅 (Beauty contest)
I know everyone is saying that Season 2 will be the end and should be the end according to the manga but idgaf, make something up and push out some more seasons! This show is absolutely phenomenal and I want to see more! 🙏🏽
this mentality pushes the downfall of many great shows. All good things need to end and it is better that way.
LOL it is not under Amazon Prime with mostly woke fans. The ending for Alice is just perfect.
6:10 this was also unexplained because for two rounds we have had 0 +100 so we would have had 50*0.8 =>40 that was much more close to 0 than 100 and yet the winner was 100. I think something was missed in translation
There was a new rule added. If one player chooses 0, then the other player will win if his chosen number is 100.
Difficulty setting, king of hearts would be harder than the last game of queen of hearts , but we never saw that game? Or did we? 🤔
Chishiya is my favourite character
He was a great one!
There won't be any season 3 cuz the manga ends just with the Joker card, like the show. The Jack of Hearts game didn't have Chishiya in the manga, wasn't required in the show according to me. King of Clubs and King of Diamonds were my favorite games. I hope they don't make a season 3 and ruin the show.
they also played Mahjong. you missed that one
There was another one, similar to Poker
It’s Mahjong but it’s not similar to poker at all
J heart is my favourite game ... so intense and interesting
Was a very intense one!
Wish this would get the recognition it deserves. Definitely deserves more hype than what Squid Game got and I’m sad it didn’t get to number one on Netflix like the Korean show did.
I would fail every game, especially the one in court. I just can’t do math😂😂
They skipped a few games too quickly! Wasn't impressed by that. However, I would say Jack of Hearts is my favourite.
I know what you mean, however the ones that they did focus on were epic!
I really wanted to see the King of Diamonds.
Maybe the players don’t know who the Queen of clubs is
They should adapt the 9 of hearts. Its a manga sequel.
But what about King of Heart ? We See on Game with King of Heart ?!🧐
The king of hearts game was shown in a few glimpses but it wasn’t clear what it was. Assumedly, someone cleared it
my thinking was that a group of "extras cast" cleared this game, there does seem to be a large number of them. some of whom are seen in the final king of spades game and it also seems the group at the film RV only died shortly before arisu and usagi arrive there, the filmer dying shortly after telling them to watch the film and the film showing the king of spades whiping the people there out. the film did make me interested to know what the lady in the car remembered.
@@gamiezion thank you for your Info, But the Heart Games are so Spezial in this Show and the King is the hardest ever so i Wonder Why they didnt Show the King of Heart ..
@@xXPGPXxwob im afraid i don't know either, let me know if you ever find out? :)
They were in a maze running from a animal predator but I have no idea why it’s a hearts game
Osmosis confused me. Why kill the keeper when the 10k point was with the burned guy. Killing him would win the game
Check mate
It was a good game!
How chishiya Escape from the jack of hearts game
By his gut feelings ?
I'm confused on this...
It seemed that way
Your forgot the game kuina played it is on episode 5 it was fight to the death
How many episodes in season 2 ??
So in the manga they just skim over the games that didnt get much screen time like in Netflix? Or Netflix really just skip it on their own?
which game was king of heart?
It's called Beauty Contest? I thought it was called Balance
Such a rabbit hole of shit, it’s so gooooood.
why do some games have painful deaths? like the court acid game!
The acid death was so unnecessary
@@Ninja-gt3zi yeah i rewached the 4 death scenes many times and it's scary how detailed their deaths are, the girl make a harsh coughing sound when it was her turn. it's scary to know to people actually died this way in real life
Alice in borderland slightly reminds me of Squid Game with the variety of death games
WHAT WAS THE KING OF HEARTS GAME??? 🤔
SPOLER!!!!!!!
Thi first game, hue he could have had taken the bracelet off by cutting / broking the big finger, ni need to "attack" the full hand. It was sooo dramatic and unpractical.
You have the point but it was done to be consistent with his guilt. He cannot forgive himself for he causedp the accident on his workmate leading to a damaged hand, not a finget
I still don't get Osmosis.
"Checkmate was an interesting game" Gotta disagree, that was one of the worst games and on top of that it drags on way too long. AiB is my absolute favorite show but I always dread Checkmate. On the plus side Beauty Contest is what saved that episode.
This video seems more like a game rules explained then actually explaining how the players beat the game.
Beauty contest
Kinda dissapointing ending considering that all of it was just a dream in his head. I was just skipping in the season 2, I kinda lost interest because of all the drama.
Tons of fillers
Do you think? I thought they were pretty good!
@@BrainPilot those mid episodes and ending was taking forever!!!
Just the ending alone and the conversation with the Boss Lady was dragging. I was hoping for Netflix to have a 1.5 speed or 2.0 speed
Croquet was so lame and anti-climatic.
Do you think? I thought it was quite a smart one. I didn't expect it!
Imo it is the most genius one, not the game but the gm herself
1. It goes back to the OG Alice in Wonderland where Alice played croquet with the Queen of Hearts
2. In the game the Queen of Hearts gave out a lot of endings that are extremely overused in these types of stories. And well, this doesn't use those as the true ending
3. The rules are simple yet you can lose in an instant (where if Arisu killed the GM)
4. Even if GM is not killed, she can just extend the game time to infinite if Usagi is not interfering, leaving everyone to die out due to King of Spades or Visa ending
5. Before she dies her last words resembles the ending of the Joker card
cringe season. The main character has been shot right and left but still survive. For the others 1 shot and they are dead.
none
