Whether or not Robin was right it doesn't excuse Patrick cheating. Robin has be faithful the entire time. He knew that sleeping with her could possibly end his marriage and risked it anyway. He should be thankful she forgave him and tried working on her marriage rather than throw it away.

He was act like a jealous boyfriend, it’s like he desired Lisa. Then he initiated both times they got together. Even before Robin and Patrick got together, he was not as volatile and territorial in that hospital. I don’t know if the writers just wanted everyone to hate Patrick or what. Never in the storyline did they really delve into why Patrick is willing to piss away his marriage, why Robin and Emma we’re not enough for him.... Just like he and Emma are not enough for Robin, that she needs to go traipsing around the country and the world helping people. that’s what the storyline should have been about not Lisa and all her stalker qualities. They could’ve done so much better with the storyline considering they dragged it on for two years.
@tracyzillmer22, Robin cheated on Patrick during the Postpartum depression and she emotionally cheats on Patrick with her feelings for Jason and Stone. Patrick has stated that she makes him feel that he can't measure up. That's almost as bad as cheating.
This is what is abundantly clear that Lisa is lying why would you have the nurses leave a message at Patrick’s office, when all you have to do is page Patrick ,he has his pager on him, or call him on his cell phone. it’s not that hard, it’s not like you don’t know the number...🤷♀️

If Robin had opened up and shared how she felt about having his ex-girlfriends do him going to Jake’s all the time to relive his glory days, if they had communicated about this before , they would’ve been able to work through the betrayal much easier. And even with the surface a few scenes we see about counseling, it never really changed anything. They still didn’t communicate, because when Robin’s HIV meds stopped working, she didn’t tell Patrick, she went to Jason and Elizabeth. She certainly didn’t communicate with her husband, her partner.

She kept using the excuse but u dont want kids but it was different now a real baby was on the way. That 11 month pregnancy was excruciating lol. Most of it she fought him . Finally they have Emma robin almost dies and when they come home she had full on ppd. Not her fault but that's a hard thing to be around. Then when she went to a hospital all the while patrick is a single parent she comes back then wants to leave to do aids research in Africa. Honestly after all that is it that horrible he had a quick fling As someone else pointed out stone would always be number 1. Even with jason when they broke up she gave him.back a promise ring he told her to keep it bc she ke poo t stones and she said stone died . So every man could never compete with someone first love esp if they die at the prime of their life and young love is so special and intense. Most of us break up with them and we move on. On top of it Patrick repeatedly as on ed her ti star away from mob killers jason and sonny and she refused. So Robin never put Patrick first like he did her and Emma. The stone scenes in the cave prove this
