  • Today we're off to the teamLab:Borderless exhibition, a giant art installation in Odaiba. team:Lab are a digital art group, starting off as web developers their work progressed to their major strong point: digital art and technology. They combine lights, video, music, programming and interaction in their work, and I believe this is their largest installation to date. Borderless is a collection of rooms where you wonder and explore, finding new things around every turn. My favourite was the room with the funky music and spotlights, some other people love the waterfall or Crystal Forest room which is full of millions of LEDs! It was one of the best things I have ever seen. I hope you enjoy it as much as me! Thanks so much for watching!

    You went to TeamLab!!!! I absolutely loved the exhibit!! It was a bit overwhelming at first and I couldn't explore the rooms fast enough. Once I had been through everything and knew what was there I went back through the exhibits I liked the most at a slower pace and was able to enjoy it more.

      Oh that's a good idea!!! Now I've been once I should try a slower pace next time. Think I might go super early too to be one of the first people in!!!

      @@thisNatasha We went early and were the second group through the door and I definitely think that helped. We were able to make it into some of the rooms ahead of the crowds. One thing that caught us off guard was the need for a 100 yen coin to put our stuff in a locker...luckily we didn't use all of our coins that morning at breakfast!

      @@bluebadsquishy Oh gosh I forgot about that! Thought I remembered they were free! I should pin this comment so people know!

      @@thisNatasha You get the coin back at the end, but you had to put one in to get the locker.

    Is it hot or cold inside the exhibit? Are we best storing coats etc? We'll be there in Dec. Ty for the upload :)

    • @thisNatasha
      @thisNatasha  4 роки тому +1

      We stored coats in the free lockers. I just wore a jumper around the exhibit and was totally fine (except in the spot light room which was really hot!!!)

      It's so beautiful, I was lucky to visit last April! My son (6 years old) could have easily spent all day there if we let him, but we started getting hungry! He loved going down the slide and the athletic area. Borderless is probably 2-3 hours as a casually visiting adult, if you're not revisiting areas or taking a tons of pictures. You could definitely spend a whole day in Odaiba though, and it's worth it to because it's a little bit of an effort to get out there to begin with.

      For hours! We definitely could have stayed the whole day. I would schedule at least four hours for it!

      Hey Melanie! It's 3200 yen for adults and 1000 for children I think! It really is amazing, and you never know where to look!!! So cool!
