Roy is the tech chase King of swordies. If Tilde finds a way to address that, and maybe bates out Roy up B more for potential punishes, it’ll be more even. Kola mashed up B a lot and it worked.
I agree that Kola's up B's came in clutch that set, but I think those were working more as a result of him reading Tilde's panic jumps rather than mashing it as an out of shield option if that makes sense. There were a few times where Kola up B'd to the side to catch a jump without Tilde being right next to his shield.
@@jackson6187 i can definitely see that too. My logic saw it more as Kolas panic option because without the armor he’d be almost helpless past Tilde’s combo starters unless he SDI’d like crazy or got lucky falling out. And by mashing , I mean, Kolas really good at it. Usually it comes off condescending but if you’re gonna do that, be the best at it, in his case.
Was rooting for Kola but Tilde definitely showed out. He was able to play such an aggressive game against Kolas Roy and almost stand toe to toe. Those were some close games
Yeah, if Tilde grinds a few more problem matchups and irons out his panic options (although I know Falco as a character is limited in a few situations) he could easily be one of the best in the world. His bread and butters are just soooo consistent, and at the right percents like half of his moves become kill confirms/setups
Tilde is fuckin GOATED bro, I know he lost 3-1 but it was soooooo much closer than that, and falco struggles heavily with sword characters, so with all that, Kola goated, and Tilde goated. So cool to see two of the best players of their character go head to head
god dang can the recordings of this game not get framey? it already gets framey online and before they patched a couple stages lol just want to see a steady framerate
So take Kola for instance. He knows Roy's speed is primarily when he is on the ground, not in the air. He mixes up a lot of aerials in neutral but his movement is primarily from running. I don't think he ever did a dash attack. He would run, slight pause, forward tilt. There is considerably less endlag when you do that with Roy. With practice you can optimize your movement speeds by knowing which moces have short endlag or which travel method is best for your character.
I agree, I feel like one of the things that holds Tilde back from being a top tier player is his panic options, namely rolling and full hopping both onstage and burning his double jump early off stage
Glitch Infinite is still live! Check it out here: "www.twitch.tv/vgbootcamp"
11:06-11:13 was a crazy exchange of blows
Man I was waiting for a match like this where every touch can lead to big damage or death.
Congrats to both players
I've been waiting for this match up for a very long time. I didnt care if it was in losers, winners, or GFs, I wanted to see Tilde vs Kola!

The amount of times they’ve called kola, goblin
This is everything I’ve ever wanted.
Same, I saw this matchup and got hyped up.

We got three Roys in the pro scene. Smash has come such a long way since Melee.
Ugh
3? There are way more than that lmao
I've been watching all of Kolas recent matches and it's been helping me a lot to understand the character and particular matches.
Pretty kewl
Two of the coolest dudes in the community love weed and smash these dudes know wassup
I'm team eggplant bowl :)
3:35 Goblin Roy lookin clean yo 😂🙏🏾 love them
Really sucks seeing tilde struggle with Roy he easily could go all the way

1:57 tilde movement understage? What was that? Was that wall jump?
I noticed Tilde attempted a FireBird Bounce, but messed up and lost a stock for it in game two.
This fight is like a good anime fight scene. Just straight up fire.

fr i thought my pc was lagging lol
This is what it's all about!! Most hype set of the the tourney in my opinion.
Kola probably always gonna be a bracket demon for Tilde. Roy shits on Falco the worst of the swordies.
How come they are able to move so fast? Is it just me? I am unable to move this fast in Smash Brothers.

great matches from 2 great players. Tilde's got some hype strings
If you watch kola old matches, he didn’t up B a lot. I’m glad he added that 2 his kit
Best set I’ve ever seen
3:26 he called him Goblin
9:58 roy ko’d ul top and sounded like his stomach was being opened
Goblin vs Akola great set loved every second
3:53 a true commentator bro move. Go back 20 seconds for context
Got to correct the commentator, Roy is a mid weight. A middleweight
Can't believe Tilde got camped out by Roy 😔
3:25 lol he siad goblin
Mugen then Kola? Someone has a Roy problem
tilde started rolling too much in that last game, a lot of those situations coulda been avoided if he didn't roll in and dashed in instead
I agree, I feel like one of the things that holds Tilde back from being a top tier player is his panic options, namely rolling and full hopping both onstage and burning his double jump early off stage
@@jackson6187 damn bro you really do watch a lot of smash, just seeing all your comments now
@@smashbronski just started commenting more often, and started to make an active effort to follow the scene
@@jackson6187 I like that, you play too? Id say I watch more than I play forsure
I’d watch a first to ten of this SO fast
最上位やなぁ
どっちも空後全然ミスらんやん
Kola has iceeeeee in his veinssssss
