Finding my Wedding Dress at Kleinfeld!

- Hello everyone! This is the second part of my wedding series, and probably the most exciting. I take you with me on three long days where I searched for my dream dress!

I keep receiving comments about undergarments - this was filmed during freezing NYC winter and we were not allowed to go nude under the SAMPLE store dresses (COVID measurements - it's a whole process just getting into the store!) I'm not sure why VPL makes people so uncomfortable. Obviously, for the big day, there won't be winter underwear or panty lines, lol! These dresses were not altered to fit me; some were smaller than my size, some were bigger than my size. I tried what the store offered.
The last A-line dress with the bow in Kleinfield is STUNNING...

I'm so sorry it is so difficult for some to find "their" dress. I was able to find one in a Bride's magazine that I loved, carried the photo page with me in my wallet for two years, feared it would be discontinued to wrote to the company to see where I could purchase it on the West Coast. Just my luck, there was a bridal shop in the nearby town where I was raised for the first seven years of my life. I sent them the 10% down, they ordered it and notified me when it arrived. I went to try it on and loved it even more. Back then, 1978, the veil was included with the dress. Four years later I had met and married "the" guy. That was 39 years ago and I still love my wedding dress!
Hopefully, still love the guy too?
@@JudyHart1 I love "the" guy and he loves my wedding dress, too! He knows he was lucky to get me to walk down the aisle as I was engaged three times and spent a year as a single woman in a foreign land before I met him. All the while my wedding dress awaited...my nieces and nephews had fun dressing up in it. His parents were the best in-laws a woman could have and supported us in making my dream of six children come true. In those days of women's liberation that was not common. His parents were married just shy of 65 years, having met on a weird blind date when gramps cousin got ill and he stepped in at the last minute, when gramps died. We are aiming for that! Only 26 more years to go!
I like the way this video is not overly filtered and 'prettied up' it looks very raw and real. A really good video diary on choosing a wedding dress.

But I do not get why they don’t have a nicer atmosphere in the Kleinfeld shop -like music and champagne... and why didn’t you wear shoes while trying on dresses to see the real length? On the Podests every one looks like they have very long legs...

Covid measures were different -- can't drink champagne and have the mask and all of that -- and there's no music because they are taping the show! Didn't wear shoes for same covid measures, but I did bring shoes to my alterations appointments.
How do they sit down in those tight, beautiful, gowns?
They’re store samples. Not the real size.
What is your haircut name
In this video I could have used a haircut actually! It’s a bit grown out from my last cut here - it’s a medium length cut with piecey layers and bardot bang (bangs grew out though)

The dress at 8:42 was GORGEOUS......that should have been the dress you chose. The next one (the off shoulder) was gorgeous too. The rest of the dresses (even those at Kleinfelds) didn't do you justice.

I already published a statement about this, please read it. Covid guidelines for trying on store samples, and the middle of winter, I worked with what I was given. If that's all you can take away from the video, that's unfortunate for you
