I'm not sure about podcasts. I admit it's something new that I don't know much about. I've "accidentally" clicked on two or three on YT channels that usually do videos.
On these, it was all audio. I am hard of hearing and it is virtually impossible to find a quiet spot in my home. I rely on CCs and a volume booster app. I didn't see an option for CCs on the few I clicked on so I wasn't able to watch (or listen to) them.
I'm not trying to say no to podcasts. Just that, unless there's a way to have CCs available, I and others wouldn't be able to listen to them.
Podcasts seem to be very popular and another way to share messages, information, etc. If enough of your viewers want podcasts, I'd say go for it, if it's something you're able to do and have time for. It seems like you have a lot on your plate but you are also a very calm person who manages her time well.

I love ' clean with me' videos! I totally agree with you about most of our cleaning is putting things away LoL when I was a teenager I used to clean my grandmother's house. She was extremely tidy and very strict about putting items back when they were used ( I remember getting scolded for leaving a pair of scissors on her countertop I stead of putting them back in the bathroom on her hanging board) but it only took me an hour to clean her house because all I had to do was clean! My own untidy house often falls short of my expectations in that regard...and I'm fairly confident that's it's me not putting my things away and not my husband and daughter 😕 oh well, the biggest room is often the room for improvement...so here's hoping I can do better in future

@@jaroffireflies Thank you for replying to my comment.Scotland countryside is certainly beautiful. Like a lot of people I don’t find the city a place I want to live. Our family moved from the city to a place in the North East of Scotland - same latitude as Moscow - so the weather can be cruel in the winter as we are very near the sea with no tree shelter but summers are warmer. Never hot sadly but when I am up walking along the cliffs with my dog, there is nowhere else I would rather be. Many Scottish people emigrated to America from this area because there was no work and settled very happily there. I really enjoy the videos you put on You Tube. I was just wondering about how your community feel about it. I hope they support your videos since your faith shines through and always show the devout happy family lives of yourself and the community. Blessings to you and yours 💞💐

One thing I started doing is putting the fitted and top sheet into the pillowcase so I can just send a child or my husband to get the sheets and it's all in one neat package. For my kiddo who isn't toilet trained yet I also add the bed pads which makes middle-of-the-night sheet changes easier.

I usually have some classical music going on Pandora. The house we just moved to has a glass shower like yours. Yes, you need this in your life, chana. The short way to get the recipe is to Google cook's country bbq macaroni salad. I've been a tester for them and their products for eons.. I would recommend the bbq sauce they advise for the smokiness if you like that. I hope you try it for your next gathering/shabbat/ or whatever. One pound of elbows makes quite a lot. I brought some out to my neighbor who was in the middle of mowing his lawn on this hazy, hot, humid afternoon. Not the day for it. Oy! I urged him to get inside. Cheers!

I’ve never looked at it as my job to entertain them, so they just read or play together or independently. They also know that I have work to do around the house and they do love to help, but they also know that sometimes I just need to get it done on my own :) so they ask and if they can help I give them a job (which is most often to clean up their rooms and then they lose interest lol) That’s just how we have done it in our house.

I’m exploring Marie Kondo’s from help with that. If I was to do a podcast it would be herb walks explaining a herb, how it was used traditional, any precautions etc. and then I’d flip into making herb preparations in my kitchen, go through all the medicinal values of the kitchen herb and spice rack.

I fell off watching your videos! I’m not even sure what happened. So glad I found my way back!! My daughter is in a baptist Christian academy (she’s 4.. so daycare but they also have a k-12 program) and I have been so angry with them. My daughters teacher called me an atheist. And I’m jus not even sure how one who loves a God can call another an atheist. You make me want to continue with religion. Of any form. Bc my real life experiences have been not so good. But your constant faith inspires me so much.

I am so sorry that your having that experience with your daughter’s school! But I am so glad to hear that you are continuing your spiritual journey :) It’s so important (in my opinion 😊)

@@jaroffireflies and I also definitely agree. I crave the spirituality in my life so badly. I won’t let one person and their words ruin my faith. It’s definitely a struggle for me to keep my faith sometimes. But I haven’t let go!!

Hi Chana! I'm back! Oy, we've had a craaazzzyyy couple of weeks.
Three of us, including me, had covid. B"H, we didn't have to be hospitalized! I had the mildest case. It just felt like a bad head cold but, oh my gosh, all I wanted to do eas sleep 🥱😴. My daughter had it the other and she is still having problems with being short of breath. I have a feeling she is going to be one of the long haulers who I keep hearing about, G-d forbid. My older granddaughter had it worse than me but not as bad as my daughter. She lost her sense of taste and smell, bad body aches (she couldn't even use her arm one day. She and I are all better now.
At the same time as this was all going on, our central air stopped working. I don't have to tell you about the heat and humidity because TX and FL are virtually the same with the weather. With the heat index, the "feels like" temperature has been over 100° (today was 110°). We went eight days without A/C with multiple fans blowing (no relief). Finally, the landlord decided to put in a new unit instead of repairing the old one. Installing scheduling took a days, the were some problems so there were delays. So, even though my covid symptoms were better on Tuesday last week, I couldn't do anything.
Even my homeschooling plans were put on hold! We were supposed to start on August 9 but decided to wait until the A/C was working.
And, now guess what? I've been fired as their homeschooling teacher 😱! Last minute, it was decided that my grandchildren will be going to public school 😢.
For my grandson, it's an experiment. He has one quarter to show us that he can keep up. I think the same will happen with my granddaughter. Sadly, I don't think she will adapt well to the separation, the rules, doing schoolwork ALL day, listening to her teacher and doing what she's told. I have a feeling both of them will be back with me soon!
I loved this video! It was great hearing and seeing you again! You seem to have a good routine with keeping up your home. I had to have a routine (read: detailed schedule) or I would be quickly overwhelmed lol.
I love that you got to host so many people for Shabbos! I agree -- it's great to have people to spend Shabbos with. I usually celebrate alone except my grandchildren will usually join in at least at the beginning of the meals for Kiddush and Challah. They're not very observant.
I'm going to try to catch up with your videos tonight.
    Take care and be well!
    ❤❤

Yes, I hope they are back with me soon too! I don't like public schools at all for so many reasons. My daughter and son-in-law have different opinions. As they are the parents, I have to allow them their own beliefs, choices, decisions, etc. but sometimes it's really hard! Like biting my tongue hard 😉 lol! My son-in-law did want to keep the youngest home for at least another year but my daughter won out. At least he and I agree on specific reasons to keep her home if not the general reason of homeschooling vs. public school. take a deep breath, patience, patience, it will all work out the way it's meant to work out.

I'd love to hear how you transitioned to completely kosher

It was just a slow process :) I started by cutting out certain foods like shrimp or eel etc then being kosher style then keeping kosher at home then keeping kosher always :) I think I talked about it a little in my conversion video series, did you see those?

You say beds in the bedroom. Do you not share a bed? Is that a Jewish thing?

Usually Orthodox Jewish couples do not share a bed because of the laws of Niddah!
