  • OpticStudio provides a wide range of optimization capabilities to aid the designer in improving their optical or illumination system. These tools can accelerate your design process if you know how to use them most effectively . In this webinar we will discuss a wide range of tools available in OpticStudio.
    Defining variables and merit functions
Local optimization: damped least squares and orthogonal descent
Global optimization: hammer and global search
    Quick adjust tools
    Finding the best asphere
    Stock Lens Matching

while designing telescope with erector system, how optimize combine of objective and eyepiece

Hello! If we understand your question, any criteria, such as spot size for example, would be optimized for an eyepiece and for an erector lens, the only difference being a flipped image. In that case, you could make a merit function with both and give each the same weight.
